abuseVery intense and emotional. Nice idea of them meeting sometime in 1987 and so they have been in love with each other for 20 years now - pretty amazing and quite convincing.
However, I suggest you cut this one humangous chapter into multiple ones; it would give you more readers and reviews. It's quite tiresome to read this all at once but it is definitely worth it :)

abuseWow, words cannot find me right now other than this has to be one of the very best stories on this pairing I have ever read to date. You had both of them dead on, especially Mac, he's a character I imagined would always be tricky to write for being he's such an enigma. Hope to see more from you. :)

abuseWow.Just... wow. If I was more aticulate, I might write more, but all I can think of now is to tell you how amazing this was! Everything worked... And you got the characters dead on.

abuseAgain, stunning. Thank you so much for posting these up, I'm so glad I found them. I love how you write in such a vivid and fractured style, with the senses and with the moments magnified. It works beautifully the rhythm of the journey to California and the memories of their lives and meetings. You have found a new aspect to both characters that I had never considered before and pulled up the depths of their hearts.

abuseWow! I know it's not the most eloquent of reviews, but that's just my impression of this story. My favorie by far. I love the humor you injected into it; it offsets the sadness so well.

*"So," (Mac watches her eyes sparkle in the late afternoon sun and prepares himself for her morbid sense of humor.) "When do we start eating each other? I'm famished."* -- That is my all-time favorite line!

abuseThat, again, was wonderful. Beautiful, and desolate. I loved the images you wrote into it, and the fragmented timeline, letting the story tell itself, at least that's what it felt like to me. I especially liked the end part, with the sunrise.
