You have the patter, the rhythm, the chops, the whatever you want to call it, that makes this prose borderline poetry, and this angst fresh, and real, and exceedingly painful to real (and yet rereadable). Sweet pain, as it were. The style was incredibly sharp. No wavering between influences. And I loved the way your mind took two images and twisted them together. That last was perhaps unclear of me. M, the twist that led you to put together "grief and CNN headlines" or the "NASDAQ plummeting" which was so beautifully timed and voiced. -anti

The descriptions of everything, including the weather are so sharp, it was as if I was there. I absoultely loved the tone of it, and the fact that you wrote it from Horatio's point of view, but instead of using first person, you went second. I find that intimate, and truly awesome, if it can be done right, and you have , in fact done so. Your words were poetically tragic, yet achingly beautiful. To see a man of strength such as Horatio succumb to his grief is really an awesome thing. I think the one part I absolutely adored was this: 'You fell asleep at your desk, and it was the most regrettable mistake in your life because when you woke up, (you knew) Calleigh was gone.' Deep seated grief at it's worse. You wrote excellently, I thoroughly enjoyed reading!

I also really love how you didn't dwell on it and how nobody found out about their relationship, it was a nice touch and i think it made all the difference. Cheers and keep writing.
