| jtbwriter 2008-04-07 ch 6, | abuseWow! The devil meets his match again...and I love the humor in Mr. Roarke's taking him on. This was a different story-the way Leslie recognizes Christian's reasons for knowtowing to Errico..and his knowing it was a mistake to do so. You really upped this one with the ominous warning to Leslie about staying in the room and not getting caught up...and Mr. Roarke's gentleness with his grandchildren...a very sweet touch. Thanks for taking us on another facinating trip to the island-I look forward to the next one! |
| Harry2 2008-04-03 ch 6, | abuseWell, alls well that ends well. And, I look forward to seeing in detail some of the events alluded to in your Fiction Press tale. LONG LIVE FANTASY ISLAND AND MR. ROARKE! |
| Harry2 2008-04-03 ch 5, | abuseAnd once again, Roarke comes to the rescue! Now, its time to return to our time period, and see if the timeline has been repaired or not. |
| Harry2 2008-04-03 ch 4, | abuseI think that the advice Leslie gave was solid. The young man can get some experience and prove himself a good driver, and later on, use the expierience to parly itself into other opportunities. Now, lets see what Metastophalies has planned for the battle with Roarke! |
| Harry2 2008-04-03 ch 3, | abuseWell, now we know. The lady sold her soul to Mestistopheles to save the man she loved. But, it changed history in the process! Time for Roarke to get to work on stopping the shift in the timeline. And, with reading your story on Fiction Press, I know what is going on with Christians family. Talk about headache city! |
| Harry2 2008-04-03 ch 2, | abuseOH DEAR! Mestataophalies! That no good low down SNAKE! (And that is being POLITE!) I agree with Leslie, in that I had hoped that they had seen the LAST of him! Of course, there are those that I would not MIND sending to visit him! But whatever is going on, only time *I KNOW! BAD PUN!* will tell what is really going on. |
| PDXWiz 2008-04-03 ch 6, | abuseCool! The diary now has the information about what happened to Gareth and Amarette, and he can read info about their clinic online (since it obviously thrives to the present!) as well as their descendants...very very neat! Hmm, I guess the Faraday fantasy went well also. Cool! Yeah, that's what I think. The memories of the changed timeline will slowly fade away. If they had simply visited another timeline without changing it, they'd remember it as though they had visited another city, continent, or planet. Yup, he will be aware of the changed timeline, even more than Guinan is aware of the changes when things change around her... Yes, they will be magnified. It's not going to be easy to write, I'm certain, and not easy to read, either... Another great story! Thanks! Gordon |
| Harry2 2008-04-03 ch 1, | abuseWhen Roarke starts acting like this, then SOMETHING major is afoot! I don't know just what yet, but I smell something, and it is NOT gas! Now, lets see what the past reveals. |
| PDXWiz 2008-04-03 ch 5, | abuseCrap, Mephi knows he will be facing four people? Sheesh, so much for keeping the timeline safe from his predations... Ah, he does know Roarke. 'Another one of your damned relentless loopholes'? HAHAHAHAHA! Roarke has been defeating him for a long time BEFORE 1854! Wu and hu, more revealed about our mysterious hero's past! Return to Hades and take something for it? (Mephi's turning stomach) LMAO! That's a great joke, Roarke! Ah ha! So he changed the diary entries! He really did cheat and fail to fulfill his end of the bargain... You lose, Mephi boy! HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, you can't resist tangling with Roarke, can you? He's your nemesis...and you are just as predictable as a comic book superhero's regular foe! LOL Yes, what will he find on the other side of the time tunnel on his return? What improvements to history will be there? I can't wait to see! Wu hu! |
| PDXWiz 2008-04-03 ch 4, | abuseHehehehe...Tobias is so very very cute! Hooray! Visiting with Tabitha and Camille and Katsumi and some of their kids! Wu and hu! Camille guessed pretty well about the expansion of Enstad Datoservices over to Santi Arcuros... LOL...David's quite the planner, isn't he? Better than that goofy plan that Christian's admirer (Camille's niece) had about working and fleeing to Boston... Good plan! David as a future driver...very cool indeed! hehehehe...Haruko's having a lot of fun with Tobias! Hey, that's a good idea about the tape of Christian singing that jordiska lullaby--it will really be a good way for them to keep remembering his voice... Ah ha! A BABYSITTER! Wu and hu, Haruko rocks! And it will be a much better experience than the grocery shopper kid was... LOL...yes, Haruko, I'm sure babysitting Chikako doesn't pay much, and the triplets would be more fun. It will also be a little easier on Katsumi and her husband to have a little alone time while Haruko's sitting and Chikako's napping... LOL yes, I certainly can see Errico trying to host the Olympics, or a World's Fair...totally in character for him! Yup, history hangs in the balance...in the next chapter. Onwards, and a toast to your future victory over Mephi with the future shipment of Vallamoros wine! |
| PDXWiz 2008-04-03 ch 3, | abuseAck! What was it that Roarke learned and told Leslie? Guess we won't find out until we, er, that is until Dr. Reese finds out... Yah! The girls will find it easier to deal with the teething thanks to Roarke's extra-special potion... Yup, I'm sure caution truly is the (or one of the) first orders of business for Roarke! Cool, the potion for Gareth works! Huhm, I wonder what project he and Amarette had in mind out west... A clinic? What kind of clinic? Something that no doubt Mephi would be more than happy to cause to fail. Interesting that they were headed for New Mexico as well...I gather that Moran didn't marry Amarette's sister, but I wonder what was supposed to happen in the correct timeline... An amakarna researcher? Well, perhaps so, especially if she were to find out about that plant from Roarke or Dr. Reese... No wonder she was so familiar to him! Oh great horny toads! Visiting Count Olaf's father before he introduces amakarna to the Enstad family...to bad they can't prevent that as well... Narfquest! She did make the evil agreement...and now it is up to Roarke to save her... Hooray! Christian DID send all those things to her he'd promised! What a truly wonderful guy he is... Singing to her in jordiska...interesting palliative for teething, I must say...lol Very good email conversations for Leslie and Christian in support of their anniversary... Yup, we're a little too old for peekaboo, Leslie and Christian and I... Yah! Mashed fruit and veggies for the kids! They are going to enjoy eating all the healthy foods when they are grown up...I'm so jealous... LOL This chapter just hummed along! |
| PDXWiz 2008-04-03 ch 2, | abuse"Yes, seriously"...LOL, that's a true Roarke line, spoken with whimsy! Good bit of dialogue there... Cool descriptions! It seems like he really is in 1854 Pittsburgh! Good research! Including the number of stars on the flag... Good scene with Amarette, Gareth, and Dr. Reese! Omigosh! 316 applications?!? That was worse than I thought! Sheesh! The Man With the Answers...Yes, I suppose Christian would seem to be that person in the Enstad clan. Tobias chewed a hole through his teething ring?!? (whistle of amazement) I didn't think a baby could do that! Wowzers! Yeah, that's what I was afraid of...Mephi boy... I hope Mephi doesn't sense her writing his name to Christian and try to warn his previous self of the impending events... Huhm, I wonder what the Faraday fantasy was... Yup, you are right, Brennan...there IS something sinister underlying all of this! Good chapter! |
| PDXWiz 2008-04-03 ch 1, | abuseWhat a tough parting. It's interesting that Christian is so down to earth, he feels guilty about becoming an international tycoon, because it takes him away from his family! And the irony is, he is likely to be wealthier than the rest of his family combined in just a few years at this rate of expansion... LOL...poor Christian, feeling so bad about missing their anniversary...and Leslie is nonchalantly tolerating it...she's wonderfully easygoing and compassionate. Yup, it was a senior moment, and it was the fault of Errico's badgering. Sigh... Huh, I didn't think Tucumcari was large enough to have suburbs...but yeah, at 5,0 people, it's big enough to have a subdivision on the outskirts of town. Learn something new every day! Wait...made arrangements...uh oh, that sounds suspiciously like a deal with Mephi boy... urk! Yes, the internet can be helpful for much information gathering, but much is still in books or on paper and not converted to electronic format yet. All in all, a reasonable request for a fantasy. This is a very interesting mystery so far. Let us see what the diary entries say... Omigosh, it really does sound like Mephiboy got involved with some soul-swapping... Wow, Roarke is willing to change the timeline! Very intriguing! Yeah, if he is going back himself to save Amarette...it definitely sounds like the soul-stealer is involved! It will be very interesting to see if Mephi is the Mephi of 1854 (i.e., the one who hasn't met Leslie yet in the timeline), or if Mephi is all-knowing and knows what will happen in the future. If Mephi only knows of events up to the then-present of 1854, Roarke's suit will look strange to him (although he might figure out quickly that this Roarke he is encountering is from the future). Alternatively, to keep Mephi from realizing that the Roarke he is about to encounter is from the future, he could wear period clothing. Mephi will be really ** if he ever figures out Roarke is time-travelling to defeat him! Obviously, I read too much sci fi...LOL Of course, I also wonder if Mephi has encountered Roarke before this event in 1854. If this is his first meeting in the timeline with Roarke, then his first defeat comes at the hands of a more veteran Roarke. So Roarke's first defeat of Mephi in Roarke's personal timeline (this is starting to feel like a Doctor Who conversation! LMAO) will actually be a less-experienced Roarke, which makes it all that more interesting because the soon-to-be-defeated Mephi will already be smarting from the 1854 encounter and more likely to make a mistake that the less-experienced Roarke can pick up on and take maximum advantage of... More practically, Mephi cannot be all-knowing of the future, because otherwise he would know how Leslie (with Roarke's help) beat Tituba and Michael Hamilton in the 20th century, and thereby be able to thwart our heroes. So I hope he doesn't know what's going on... Awesome premise to start with! |
