I really loved your representation of Colin, especially his point of view about magical photographs and muggle ones, which I somewhat agree with; they seem to have more meaning than photograph's whose occupants move about.
I love how you have him photograph so much that we see in canon, as if he's just there behind the scenes, just out of reach.
That last paragraph was lovely, and the last line was perfect and really caught the emotion and tragedy, kind of comparing him to the photos he takes.

This is amazingly beautiful. You've captured an awful lot of emotion and feeling and wrapped it all up in a wonderful little package of symbolism and beauty.

Wonderful character as well, poor colin doesn't get enough stories, and this was such a great characterisation. Not only that, but all your little marginalised and off-screan characters came across beautifully too, I particularly liked Neville, and for some reason Peaves as well, despite the fact that he only appeared for a split second.

This is great, too. Something a bit different from your usual stuff, although still angsty (which is what fanfiction writing is for :D). I love how courageous Colin was in DH, staying back to fight. A true Gryffindor, and you captured that wonderfully here.

Wow - that last paragraph was unbelievably powerful, it really hit hard. This is a fantastic oneshot, you really get into the mind of Colin and make him a real, flesh-and-blood character rather than just someone we occasionally hear about. Your imagery and description were brilliant too, in fact the whole thing was great. Loved it!

Oh, SO sad and beautiful! I LOVED it! How his camera is his face and his shutter is his words-and Nev & Hannah kissing under the mistletoe--I loved all his pictures, actually. This was fantastic!

Loved it Bonni. The way you decribed Colin and his picture box was amazing. All your details and descriptions were just amazing. I'm sorry I've run out of adjectives but it really was perfect. Especially when he ripped the picture of the Dark Mark up. That is something he would do.

Eep. You've done such a great job with Colin here -- such a tragic character that most others relegate to either comic relief or maudlin over-dramatizations of grief. Your Colin is strong, confident in his own way, and very much the Gryffindor we all know and love. I love this piece -- thanks so much for sharing it!

Breathtaking. Really, the first sentence just grabbed me and held me completely motionless until the awful beauty of the last paragraph. I quite like Colin as a character, and you have done him every bit of justice he deserved. Magnificent.

That said, it was beautifully written, and I adore the personality you've given Colin - the idea that he could be someone if he just removed the camera, and I loved it.

One of the best one-shots I've ever read. Pulls you in from the beginning, wonderful descriptions, easy to relate to, extremely well written. Words cannot describe how wonderful your words were :D especially as a photography fan, it was fabulous.
