Such beautiful imagery you ladies are able to evoke with so few words! And I had myself a feeling that ol Barton wasn't dead. I have enjoyed this story immensely, and loved seeing Matt Dillon's romantic side. Great job again ladies! Look forward to more stories from both of you. :)

Wendy and Amamda, wonderful job, well done, I loved the part where Matt and Kitty are lying in the back of the wagon, and discovered how the other really felt about thier love, and fears for each other. And Doc being Doc, well thats just sweet grouchy Doc. Now to thier night on the balcony, HOT,HOT,HOT, I loved the exchange between them, words and other wize. hello ladies. another beautiful chapter. I do have to say that this really was a beautiful story despite it's somewhat creepy beginging. i loved seeing the romantic side of matt dillon and of course a little smut never killed anyone either. i will be looking forward to your epilogue.

The English teacher and literature lover in me really enjoyed this unique twist on several old favorites. I've seen other adaptations of Poe but this is among the best. I don't know if you guys did it on purpose, but there's a dark humor running through the whole thing which is just delightful.

Also, good job on the seemless effort. I couldn't tell which writer did what parts.

Mahc: This is an unusual and interesting story. Very different than the other ff stories I've read. I like it!

you gals sure do have a way with words! you are able to convey a lot of emotion with out getting overly wordy which i find to be a very good thing. I also like how you in the end of chapter 7 you gave matt and kitty a glimpse into what the other goes through.

You ladies amaze me yet again with this chapter. So sweet and heartfelt...made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :) I love that they stopped and laid in the wagon and looked at the sky, a lot of times the simplest pleasures are the best. Looking forward to the next chapter!

I had wondered where that gun had gotten to ;) I thought that there was a tornado and was scared when Matt and Kitty went outside...but thankfully it seems that it was just the wind knocking the old house down. I see a TBC at the end here and I can't wait for the next chapter!
