I know this is a one-shot, but it's so hilariously dark and... just fascinating. I love it. So much is crammed into so few words. It really makes me wish for more.

I loved the descriptive language in this. Very vivid. It sounds like the challenge was really silly, but you did a great job turning it into a not silly story.

This was excellent. Evocative and atmospheric. Dark and strangely hopeful at the same time.

The cake fic to end all cake fics, indeed! Galleon a bean -- cocoa beans then? (At least, this had better be a chocolate cake. I'm going to be disappointed with my image of Severus licking the ladle if not.)

I enjoy your style of writing and your take on Snape. This one was particularly original. Brandy and very bitter chocolate? Wow, amazing. And I suppose a potent remedy against dark magic. I like the way you weave the unusual revelations of the cake into this story.

This was totally not what I expected, but Snape baking a cake is anything but expected, so I guess I got what was coming to me. LOL

Very well done. I liked how the dialog is so sparse so it's impossible to tell what anyone is thinking except Snape.
