Ahh... The music I was raised on... No doubt Edward would have a great appreciation for the classic jazz, but I think this is the first fic that I've seen pick anything but current music, and that makes it unique.

I do love Ella Fitzgerald...

And this fic was very well done. I could hear the music while reading it, but not be distracted by it. Generally I dislike songfics, because instead of the music adding to the story, I find it taking away. Good job.

Sugar Blues is an apt title for such a bittersweet story. You do the gentle reminders of Bella's sad period very well, and it's nice to see the return of music in her life, bearable again since she has Edward back. She never quite seems to be able to get over her little insecurities though, does she? Lovely work.
