Hm, getting into the surreality pretty well with that ending, and the contrast theme is good. But I think if he's still so interested in croissants he should be alright for a little while. (Although they were actually a good touch, just not divorced enough, in my book.) The fact that this whole arc has been in a nonexistant fictime in which Yusuke hadn't been fired yet and Kurama and Hiei were still on probation and they were sent running around working for Koenma is extraneous, since you already know it. Although I think you could probably have folded it into Yusuke the Ramen Stand Detective era, stipulating crisis situations, if you'd wanted, there's no real reason you should, and it'd be a bother. I still want more Shiori.

really good :D i like how these intertwine with one another, I'd love to see one with a similar situation to 'One Of Those Nights' happens with kurama sneaking back in, but Shiori this time confronting him all bleeding and battered and trying to patch him up herself, and having a nice thorough bitter-sweet but angsty conversation with Kurama, kehe, I'd love to see that follow !

It seems to me that Kurama is in desperate need of a vacation. With someone that makes him 'alive' again *winkwinknudgenudge*. These stories are remarkably poignant and well-written. I love your characterizations, they're realistic yet new facets of their personalities are allowed to surface. That's quite a talent. Can't wait to read more!

Honestly? No, not a clue (I'm unimaginative like that). But I'm very curious about where it will go. And this... it really made me tear up, if that says anything. Acting like everything is fine... when it's not. I think I've read the ones that came before this, but I should probably double check.

I'm very limited in vocab, but this was excellent *remember reading at least ONE of them*. And, again, I would love to see how this continues.

This is very moving. I read it once, then had to read it again to make sure I got all the impact. I like the emphasis you put on "fading;" it makes the theme very powerful. Now, of course, I have to go read "Just Another Nightmare" and "One of Those Nights" and "One of Those Days."
