abuse*snicker* That... was amusing. I guess Xander would have a good perspective on Batman given they're both non-super-powered heroes of their universe. Different perspectives of course... I'm looking forward to reading more of this to see who he next interacts with.

abuseThis has been pretty good. I was kind of hoping/expecting Xander to jump through several different dimensions from reading the summary, but that can still happen (bad guy interrupts Fate's spell), and even if it doesn't this has still been a good story so no big loss. Keep up the good work!!

abuseTHAT WAS AWESOME!

This fic is so much fun to read. What is it about Xander fics that inspires writers to throw in their best lines? Oh man. Whenever you decide to send him home, I hope you keep his new personality firmly in place. (Eighteen inch tongue & he can hold his breath for fifteen minutes. I'm surprised Galatea didn't drag him off somewhere quiet right then!)

I mean, while it's not all humor, the darker shades do serve you well in making the fun stuff well... funner.

Great stuff! I look forward to seeing more eventually. Keep up the excellent work!! T

abuseCool!

Xander back in Gotham. I can't wait to see how that turns out! In the first place, he needs to defeat Soloman Grundy, but...

Can I just imagine a scene where Xander is walking into the Iceberg Lounge, covered in blood, with an axe slung casually over one shoulder and Grundy's severed head held in his other? The strolling up to the bar and cracking jokes about how he always wanted to get a head?

That sort of entrance, of course, DEMANDS that the Joker get involved - can't have some newby around casually killing people and cracking bad puns. That gig is taken!

I foresee a casual approach, one with offered hand that just happens to be holding a deadly electric joy buzzer - that Xander had gotten an answer to from Alfred, that turns the deadly shock back on Joker.

Ah! The PUNS Xander could be making!

"Oh! He was just DYING to pull that gag on me!"

"What a SHOCKING development!"

"Joker got a little hot under the collar!"

As the rest of the bar just kind of edges away from this crazy newby who's just casually offed two senior Rogues and jokes about it, Harley, Joker's sidekick, would probably get angry and attack. Wouldn't it be nice if Xander convinced her via head games that he was 'Her puddin', and twist around the conversation til she was calling him 'Mistah X' and hanging off him?

Cue more earnest scooting away by the rest of the Rogues.

Oh! Then if oonly Xander had access to a few SPELLS! If he could hit up Dr. Fate or Zatanna to prepare a few trinkets for him ahead of time! Just two! A mirror, or a copy of "Alice in Wonderland" that once given to the Mad Hatter sucks him (and ONLY him) inside, transporting him to the actual universe of Wonderland? A place where he is too well suited to ever escape?

Then a trap for Two-Face, a tiny sub-dimension called Thunderdome that has only one rule our universe doesn't - two men enter, one man leaves. Both of that criminal's identities are separated and neither can leave while the other survives!

This would seem like a total, easy win for the villain side of him save for the fact that that part defines its existence by being the direct opposite of the other. So how could he live without something to be opposite to? While Villain face was angsting over this, normal face might actually beat him!

Then Xander goes off and convinces Poison Ivy that she can best serve her own purposes by transforming the Sahara into a verdant jungle? Get the poor countries around it to legally cede that area to her so there aren't any conflicts, then let her turn that area into a new super-prison where she 'Greens' all of the inmates and makes them work on helping out her plants for the durations of their sentences?

It could be fun. But best of all, when Batsy confronts him over "No heroing on MY turf!" Xander just explains that according to the information at his disposal Lex Luthor can destroy the League or turn it to his purposes (there were two comics series at least where he did this when he became president) and he'd just felt it a wise plan to free up some of Batman's time by reducing the villain concentration of Gotham, so he could take on Lex, seeing as how Supes is not exactly the best match for him.

One thinker to neutralize another thinker, and all.
