Omnicat 2009-04-12 . chapter 1Ouch. Owy. I was going "No, how could this happen?!" all throughout. What happened to make things turn out like this? Who planted the ridiculous idea into her head that she had to be like that to be successful or worthy or whatever? ;_; She was always giving people such huge pieces of her mind, being so stubborn, always taking her own path and the rest of the world be damned. How could it come to this?
This part in particular stood out to me:
" She knows she is going to have to do something. She has never not done something, no matter how long she’s tried to reign herself back from criticizing lobbyists or going to a war zone or giving away the last of her family heirlooms to decrease the famine on L-1. "
So very true to Relena's character. It just makes it so painful to see how her personal life turned out. |
lilac310 2008-04-13 . chapter 1oh wow. It's so real and very tangible -- the whole thing. She's been numb and almost robotic for a long time that realizing that her life was just made to fit into a cut-out cardboard box of a perfect life seems almost liberating. That realization somehow meant freedom to her.
I like the quirky and dark sense of humour in this. It must've been so painful for her that it's almost funny -- as doing anything else other than laugh is futile. What's done has been done. Time has already passed.
Awesome imagination. Good job! ...as an avid 1xR fan though, I hope this will not be the case for the 'Heero and Relena' in my mind...but then again, this is not far from what could actually happen. Cheers! |
