crack, you say? becuse it didnt seem that way to me. it was somewhat dark, and very sad, and simultaneously very funny. oddly moving. quite the interlude.

Snyder always freaked me out. A lot of the characters did. But you know, this is kind of nice, seeing interaction between Mello and him. The way you incorporated Anne of Green Gables into this was well done; the way Snyder's mother used to read it to him and how he wouldn't charge Anne a thing for anything.

Mello having one of Matt's games is pretty funny, too. xD Which sort of tied in nicely with Snydar's nephew.

...This makes me kind of sad that he died, now.

Pokemon + the mafia = epic win. Simple as that.

Interesting to see your interpretation of Mello and Neylon's interactions. Didn't it say in How to Read:13, that Neylon's dislikes were Mello. That piqued my interest. I think you portrayed it well.

Ooh, Mello's POV. I'm stupidly excited right now. All these stories taking place after Mello's death, where Mello's just a memory that Matt can hardly bring himself to think about, but now we have him in the flesh. Alive. Comparing people to lizards. Win.

Huh. I have all the Anne of Green Gables books - they were a present when I was a kid - but you know, I never read them. They just looked too girly and boring for me. Now you made me curious, and I wonder whether I should go dig them up and give them a read...

Wow. The way you had Mello roping in Rod Ross in that alley like that... f*ing scary. Gave me these awesome chills. That's just COOL.

Yes. This is epic. You have no idea- the fact that you gave a minor character some depth was great,and the fact that there was an almost-MAtt-cameo? Brilliant.
But yeah, I liked the fact how you portrayed Mello being introduced to the mafia- it's fitting I think- he uses the fact that he looks innoecent and young enough to be harmless.(BTW the fact that big-bad-mafia-boss Rod would approach some bawling nameless kid in an alleyway makes me go..."D'aw". Don't ask why.)

It actually made me snicker- you can picture the tones so well, as well as the fact that Snyder attmetpting to ease the awkardness with a family mention was great. Depth I tell you!
