PS I'm a film major myself so the thing about deleted scenes and what not speaking the director's real vision was fab.

I'm reading your stories now, after I loved the newest one so much, and so far I only read this, but I can tell you're a great writer. I love this ending. I wish we saw more of the video in the actual episode. There are always so many unanswered questions. I have to believe, though, that Derek does indeed have a deleted scenes video with mostly casey in it. I always picture random vids of her he must have. Awesome job!!

This was very good and it made me smile because it was different and had Derek being all secretive I loved how you ended it. You should seriously make a second one if you haven't already.

Great catch on Derek having an enlarged picture of Casey at her party. When I watched the episode it never occurred to me that he must have gotten that ahead of time, and those things aren't cheap.

And the Max hate comes rushing back. His girlfriend is in the hospital yet he stays to party? I'm glad that, on the show, Casey finally curbed him.

This is a really well written take on one of my favorite season 3 episodes. You should consider doing a sequel.

I don't know WHAT you're talking about, because this fic is freakin great :D The video footage was a good and original concept. It was well-written. Everyone was in character. AND it was entertaining. I would have never been able to include all of that (prompt) so effortlessly had I tried :P But YOU did. Hence, you had nothing to worry about after all :)

" And she had some color in her face and something else to focus on besides scary surgery, alright?!” Derek shouted in response. “Taking her mind off of being rushed to the hospital was the only gift I was capable of giving her, okay? " I LOVED this because I so see Derek doing/saying it.

That was a really fun take on that episode. I didn't even remember that Derek left his laptop with Casey. It only makes sense that she would snoop...great job!

This was great!! What a very creative way to give us some insight into Derek's side of things from this episode. You picked up on little details from the episode that made this all the more real -- like Max's gift to Casey, and how it really seemed like it was purchased at the last minute. Or how Sam was missing from the initial shot of the hockey team, making it seem like he must have arrived later. And Derek's reasons for not wanting to be at the hospital, and for trying to make Casey angry before she left were very believable as well. I loved this, and even though it's listed as Complete, I do hope that you write a follow-up with Casey confronting Derek about what she saw and heard on that video!

You're amazing!! This was SO worth the wait! I know I put a million things to include and you did a fantastic job fitting stuff together.

"Where had Derek gotten that picture of her, anyway? How much effort had he put into this party? Casey knew it was a party for him – it had to be – but getting the picture blown up like that? That takes some time." I love you for bringing that up. I always wondered!

“Wait, and you went on with the party?” Sam asked, clearly shocked." I love you more!

"Hmm. She and Derek did tend to cause a lot of collateral damage." Still love you.

I'm annoyed that you left it open ended- okay, really I'm not annoyed at all. I think it ended perfectly. And if the "soul clips" had a lot of Casey, I can't even begin to imagine what the CM folder was. (Well, okay, I can imagine.)

I'm so annoyed that none of this was in the actual episode. It was perfect! The episode really needed some Sam, aka the only person with the sense God gave a houseplant, so you gave it Sam.

"Sam shook his head briefly before looking directly into the camera. 'Happy Birthday, Casey. I’m sorry to hear about the surgery, but I hope you get better soon. And – if you need me to sit on this fool while you beat him up after you are feeling better, just call.'"

I thought everyone was very much in character and the fic, as a whole, was well worth the wait. And all of that without even getting into the outtakes. If I did that, we'd be here all night. Suffice it to say that you rule.

I dont think Derek and Vicky were making out on a washing machine. i think they were on top of stairs with Vicky sitting on the railing/bansiter of the stairs.
