I liked it very much except that the woman ends up being Hermione. It changes the time-line completely and I just can't see then together under any circumstances. This being the motivation for Moody's catch phrase and subsequent lifestyle is poignantly believable however.

If this is to be the only fic of this pairing it was fantastic. Thanks for posting it. The only thing I missed was his reaction to meeting his wife as a young woman in the twilight of his life. But I guess that woulda ruined the surprise huh?LOL

I looked at the pairing and scoffed, crossed my fingers and hopped it was timetravel, and clicked the little button. I loved it. I've never even imagined Moody as a young guy and it was a lot of fun to look at. Though I was kinda hoping that after she died he'd meet Hermione Granger and realize who she was, and then he'd know and he'd have to live with it, but I liked your ending better. I really like your stories. Thank You!!
