I know Herge seldom shirked from depicting violence realistically, but this seems awful dark and violent for Tintin's back story. Still, I do think an origin for Tintin is a story that someone should have though to tell a long time ago. Good thinking!

Goodie, a Tintin fanfic. I was reading the comic book today & wondered if there were a Tintin fanfic. So I logged in & found it! I like this one. I'll read A Brother's Bond next.

Aww, poor Tintin... that's a terrible childhood he had to go through. And it also explains why the Captain's drinking upsets him so much.

I adored how you portrayed the Captain in this! He seems perfectly in character. The Captain and Tintin have a wonderful friendship, and you've portayed that so well.
