Wonderful, amazing, awesome. This is probably the BEST story I have ever read on fanfiction. Death Note is my all time favorite series of manga and anime, so I am generally wary about reading Death Note fanfiction, but yours is just so...I don't even know. It blows my mind. I loved the first chapter, it made me laugh. I loved both the 50 sentence challenges...certain sentences sent me barging into my sister's room to share with her...the darkness of Liar Liar made me crazy! I would have screamed (in a good way...in a frustrated way...) if the rest of my family had not been asleep. There were more things I liked, but I can't remember them. Just simply AMAZING. I can't think...I had a whole review planned out for each chapter, but I can't remember. I wonder when you'll update again. Please update again soon!

I love that L put Near and Mello above all else, I really do, but to have gone that far and for it to end like that...it's so horrible. Not that the original canon was any better...

I didn't really believe that L ever really gave in. I just can't see him doing that; he would never give in to Kira. But I thought he would be the one to die still, not Light. That he had to do the murder himself really shocked me. It's so tragic, for them both.

And of course, I'm glad that Watari got to live too. I notice that Watari and L aren't that close in your ficlets; that's sort of sad to me, since I see them as closer.

Wow, that was so abstract. I don't see much Near and L interaction, but this was great. Very interesting for a first meeting.

Very cute, very funny. The interactions between L and Light have a nice balance between them of friends, not quite friends, coworkers, etc.

Chapter 2: Oh yes!! He totally would, L that little smart **... :P I can only imagine him as a child [shudders]

Chapter 3: Love the AU, and everyone os perfectly in character! Or course a little yaoi never hurt anyone :P ...Dear Lordy Lou, that chess game sounds frickin' impossible... yet strangely fun! You're serious that you made it up? That's intense! L's secrets are so sweet! I love it in fics when they just reveal little things about the characters like that, it makes them seem more human~

Chapter 5: Brilliant idea! I'm taking this as canon ~_^ Little Near is so irresistibly cute~~!

Chapter 8: If I have a child like L, I'd kill myself, end of story. Strangely enough, I can't see him behaving anything other than that though :D

Chapter 9: In-freaking-credible for one... also staggeringly sad... Because honestly... I think L would do it. Safe to stay this little piece depressed me for a few days...

Chapter 11: Oh jeeze... that took a hunk out of my heart... Seeing//reading L like that.. and Light... Dearie, you know how to pull the heart strings D:

Chapter 12: Fudgestick. I feel horribly pathetic... but I cried... ((not that you're a bad writer!! I just... don't think I've ever cried from Fanfiction before :P)) Terribly, terribly depressing... Which also means it's good!!


All in all, you're an incredibly capable writer, and I'm looking forward to something new from you~~

Particularly the dream sequences. Most people suck at writing good dream sequences...

I love the way this came out. :) I love to see the Wammy kids (Mello and Near COLLABORATING on something, but L is more important to them than their rivalry), and L... L coming out of it, at last. ^_^

This line really stood out to me, for some reason. 17: Ice: Matt had died because of his loyalty to his lover, he knew; Mello because his grief had made him careless; L because fascination had stayed his hand; never me, Near swore silently, left behind and lonely, never me.

Well, every line in every chapter was touching. But that one seemed to jump out at me. You're a fantastic writer. Thanks for sharing :D

You are an absolutely amazing writer - all of the characters (especially L) are amazingly in character, and whatever genre you choose to write - be it humor, tragedy, romance or just randomness, you excel in.

i read all of these oneshots last night,but couldnt review ( it was on my PSP, which doesnt let me use the review feature) and although i dont have time to review everything i loved it all. this chapter, though, espically, i love. i have, since i first saw L in deathnote been convinced that he is autistic. probably high functioning, but im almost 100% positive of it. the same thing goes for near. why?
im myself am a high functioning autistic, and i resemble L in mannerisms to a point that my friends introduced me to deathnote claiming i had a manga doppleganger. after reading it, i reconized that L showed all the signs of aspburgers symdrome ( antisocial, different way of thinking, has preferences with food that go beyond picky, hates certian clothing often shoes and socks are hated by autistic children -i myself hate them-.. complete lack of good social skills, uncareing about appearence. paranoia. there is quiet literially a list that goes on and on.)
i love the fact you reconized this.
also, i am seriously suprised this story lacks in the review department. its lovely! kep up the good work! gotta go.

*grins* I was... suspicious. I know some authors would have written it so that L truly meant what he said. I think that, maybe, if L could erase Light;s memories, he WOULD want them to work together - but L would never be so love-blind as to "follow the Kira ideals" and DEFINITELY never kill Watari.

So, I knew that if you were the author I thought and hoped you were, L would have something hidden up his sleeve. And he did!

As you said you would be interested to know, I caught on as soon as L agreed to sacrifice Watari. Just... L would not willingly do that.
But I take it that the other TF members that were killed off did actually die, right? That's kind of sad... are you going to continue from this or leave it at a oneshot? I'd like to see him go back to the orphanage- maybe the children will help him recover?

Near is actually one of my least favorite characters, but I like him in this. So, you've achieved quite a feat!

This has to be one of the most brilliant, believable DN stories I've read so far.

To tell the truth, I don't often take the time to stop and contemplate while reading. Because of that, you can bet that I was gaping by the time the first gunshot came.

At some point, though, I think the thought that Light believed him just a tiny bit too easily may have occurred. And I did think that L was a tad insensitive - okay, never mind, I thought he was a complete jerk - when he told Light how to dispose of Watari...

Anyway, I definitely wasn't expecting what happened at the end. Wow. If I had to give you an oral review rather than a written one, I'd be speechless. I feel that you've really retained the feel of Death Note here, and as for the plotting and scheming, well, let's just say that you would make Ohba proud.
