Lily is one nasty bitch, isn't she? When she was alive she used Sev, then dumped him when he was no longer useful. Now that she's dead she's using him again, refusing to let his heart heal so he can move on with his life. And she makes it perfectly clear she will dump him just as ruthlessly as soon as he's done his job of saving Harry. There will be no loving Lily waiting to greet him with forgiveness after he bleeds out in the Shrieking Shack. If she notices him at all, she and James will just be laughing at how easy Snivellus is to manipulate.
