One thing I've cautioned some BtT fanfic writers on is that there are a lot of parallels and similarities between Jess and Leslie's relationship and the relationship between Kevin and Winnie from the old THE WONDER YEARS series, so some similar situations are inevitable. I can recall an episode of TWY similar to this, but I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
