I love how slick Kaito is in dealing with the situation of Ran noticing him. Revealing himself without actually saying it out, so that Conan will have to puzzle it out himself. LOL, maniacal grin. Kaitou KID is so cool! XD

this site is for improving ur writing, not belting out the best! u kill the readers more with the long time in between posts than quality! just put in all down, change ur mindset. if you dont want to be a perfectionist, if you truly dont want to, you can do it. do you really want to be a perfectionist? i know this is affecting other aspects of ur life, it will help a lot if you just change it. let it go, please, for ur sake. who are you to please? if it is us readers, most of us are writers too, we just want to help each other. if u are trying to please urself...why? it's just fanfiction, don't take it too hard. it's not healthy!
im only saying this because i care. im like you as well, but i have bouts of non-perfectionistism ((not a word XD)) and that's where my writing comes out ((but never as good as urs, i believe u are naturally good at it and the quality of ur writing wouldn't suffer much at all if you just keep doing what u did for this chapter)). being a perfectionist for my is just a constant, unbearable writer's block. i hate it, so i work to get rid of it. i do not need anything i hate in my life, especially when i can control it.

This is a promising start! At a guess, I'd say Kid's behind the invitations, though I've no idea why. Nothing shiny to steal there, after all.

That was awesome. I mean, it's a wonderful opening, everyone's in character (always a plus) and you've got nice comedic moments sprinkled throughout with a bit of drama but not too much, beyond that, you've marked on the fact that, Kaito looks a little too much like Shinichi for comfort and Aoko looks a little too much like Ran for comfort... this is going to be funny as hell when Ran flips out thinking it's Shinichi, and when Conan figures out Kaito is Kaitou... because I'm pretty sure that Kaito's going to recognize Conan, and while he may or may not recognize Hattori... just his reaction to Conan ought to be enough for Shinichi to figure it out... but this is going to be absolutely hilarious.

Write the next chappie or FACE MY WRATH!

Awe, interesting. Very interesting. I have a feeling Ran will figure it out after a moment or two since she has seen Kaito before and connected the fact he wasn't Shinichi. I'm sure she'll do the same thing again (or embarress herself).

And since Kudo and Hattori are both so smart, I'm sure they'll suspect he's Kid after a while if they start talking to him. And much like Hukuba, they won't have any proof! :D

And I'm gonna shut up before I sound more like an idiot. You're story's great!
