It's a great story! Despite his looks, he thinks deeply about his life, his responsibilities, his families, his friends, his burdens.
Maybe you're right, there's always some hopes for a peaceful thing and a passion even for those who leads a complicated life.
In his case, a better life for both of them. I think, it related nicely with 'Vow'. Anyway, I love it!
