| Randirogue 2008-05-07 ch 1,  | abuseWell, I'm a sucker for Gambit/Rogue/Joseph triangles and I do remember the original stories this comes from, so I am hooked. At the same time, as a writer myself who likes to be critiqued, especially on small matters of grammar (wrong word usage, incorrect conjugation or spelling, etc.), I thought it helpful to let you know that there were several examples of such in this first chapter. I won't point out each one for two reasons: 1) I'm feeling lazy, and 2) I don't want to seem nit-picky or to irritate you with the specifics. I will, however, make a suggestion that is very helpful with finding little errors like those I described. When you've completed a chapter, wait at least 24 hours, then read it aloud. It really does help. Well, that out of the way... On to chapter 2! :D |
