Randirogue 2008-05-11 . chapter 4I have barely slept since I started reading these yesterday. They are very well written, poignant, stirring, and complex, but it's a complexity bore from captured moments of simplicity strung together... quite masterful, actually.
I must admit though, that it's also a bit of torture to read, which, believe it or not, is a higher compliment from me than my first few lines in this review. A part of me hates that you've split Gambit and Rogue utterly in this. Selfish preferences, and all that. But, this is so intriguing and compelling a series of stories, that despite that I had to keep reading. It takes one heck of a good story and an even better writer writing it to make a person push through that kind of torture, mild and shallow as the torture and its reasons may be, because the story is so compelling otherwise. And well, that's the case with me on this story.
Congrats! Keep writing! I'm eager for more. |
