The last line gave me chills! I didn't see it coming at all, so props to you. My gosh, history repeats... And in most tales, the mirror never is smashed.

I find myself wondering one thing—is it the same huntsman who had to try and kill Snow White? And if this "wicked queen" is Snow White, she must know what will happen next. The unnamed Princess will escape unharmed and eventually be rescued, and Snow White herself will die when she's forced to dance in those red-hot iron shoes. And yet, she calls for the huntsman anyway, because that is The Way it Must be Done. You really set the mind at work with this story!

Ok, I think I got chills at the end when I found out that Snow White herslef was the jealous queen. Maybe I'm being overly dramatic, but it left me with a strange and sad feeling to know that the innocent princess was now following in her evil stepmother's footsteps. I like how you 360-degree turn on a story that everyone thought they knew. Short, smart, and with a great surprise ending. Kind of drives home the point that history is doomed to repeat itself, even in the most unexpected ways. Fantastic job! Leanne

What made me notice this story was when I happened to be looking to reread a particular fic revolving around one Thumbelina... that I simply cannot find? WHAT HAPPENED TO IT? AH! YOU DEPRIVE ME OF GOOD FANFIC!

This a wonderful take on the story, with a clever twist! I love how you show that the "Fairest" doesn't always remain so, but is eventually replaced by up-and-coming youth. A metaphor for life, perhaps. :-) I enjoyed reading this.
