Actuslly, near was 18 towards the end of the kira case, but I like it anyway.

*sniff* Okay, now I'm depressed. This was really, really brilliant. I tend to like stories where emotions and stuff are projected faintly onto characters without emotions... Near is only human, and it does me some good to see him portrayed that way.

I thought the reminesence was a nice touch, very insightful. I think the character you painted suites Near quite nicely. I liked the ending, it tied things together well, a big part of me applauds you for that but then a small part of me feels like it's missing some depth.

Eh, Great story though, I like the angst.

This was a nice look at how near might have felt after the books. The style and pace are great and I enjoyed the thoughts on Mello as well.
