I read this story the night you posted it but somehow my review was "eaten." I cried so much! You did a wonderful job with little Lee and his feelings. I know. I was six when my father died. This story hit too close to home. I don't know all the things to say in a review, but I will say I enjoyed this story very, very much. I think you did an excelent job. Any thing that could stir so many emotions had to be very well written. I would like to ask you some questions off list. If you don't mind I included my email.

It was a nice story, if a bit too much of the dialog from Unfinished BUsiness was used.

My main issue, however, is with the rank of "Colonel" Clayton when Lee was 5. I mean, come on, there was *NO WAY* the man would be a Colonel for 30 years... especially given the show had him still in active duty. This is something a person works their way up to... so he should have had a lower (air force) rank because the man would have been 30 years younger then how we saw him in the show.

Also, he appeared a bit too quickly the night of Jennifer & Matthew's death given you had him coming cross country.

You did a good job in telling a special story. Enjoyed!

Wow!You really touched my heart with this story. I always wished the SMK writers had delved more into the emotions of the characters and you really did that for me with this Happy trails section made me pull out those tissues! Keep up the good work.
