Hanabi of Seireitei 2009-12-01 . chapter 16Each chapter is very well written with minimal punctuation and spelling errors. It pleases me to be able to read a fanfiction that is legible rather than some of the unedited first-drafts that are floating around on this site.
I also really enjoy some of the more mature scenes, they are very tasteful yet get the imagination going; these scenes are not mindless porn scenes or scenes that appear as if they belong in a trashy romance novel.
If you choose to continue this story (I pray that you do), it would be nice if you would play more with the connection that Sarah and Jareth share; it is a very interesting bond and has the potential for some exciting situations.
I like the incorporation of Linda into the story line. I have always thought of Linda as you have portrayed her: a bratty, malicious, manipulative woman who is only interested in her daughter when it is to her benefit in some way, or when it simply suits her fancy.
I almost wish that you had spent more time building up how creepy Leo was; I know he was only a plot device but I felt as if his character was still lacking somehow.
I like Karen in this story, I didn’t like her in the movie, but I like her in this story. But then again, she didn’t exactly get a lot of screen time in the movie.
I was slightly confused by the dream sequence in chapter 9. When Sarah met the Jareths of different ages, was she in a dream or did she actually travel back to when he was that age? I believe it was just Jareth’s dream, but I’m not 100% sure.
One of my favorite elements of your stories is the sense of reality in the fantasy of the Underground existing. What I’m talking about is the relationship between Sarah and Jareth; they do not go wildly in and out of character, they also have a realistic relationship. One that has problems, irrational feelings, and actions that go against their better judgment sometimes, for example the number of scenes where Jareth is successfully distracting Sarah while she is trying to think rationally but she sometimes ends up giving in (even though they are often cock-blocked). The sense of frustration and confusion in love is something that many can relate to.
I know you have taken a break from writing Labyrinth, but I was just curious as to when you might be continuing this story? Because it was cannot be over yet! I have followed DO and LFT as each chapter came out and have recently reread both….This being the case, I am very anxious to see what comes next! Please continue soon, you are, by far, my favorite author on this site! |
jk 2009-11-17 . chapter 16 I suppose I really should read Dramatic Orchestration, but I do not think I will. Maybe another time. As it is I can follow this one well enough, and understand the gist of the prequel to this one.
I must say, this Jareth enthralls me greatly. As a matter of fact, all of your characters charm me as well, which is surprising. I normally cannot abide OCs. Then again, Labyrinth just lends to OCs.
Fetching story; I love the plot. Defintely a pleasing distraction/way to spend time. |
Fablespinner 2009-11-16 . chapter 1Just finished Orchestrations and am worried now for poor Jareth... I'm hoping you don't torture him as much as you did before... *I think I'm gonna wait to read this one until it's complete, you have a penchant for cliffhangers my lady. |
 Star 2009-11-15 . chapter 12 HE LIVES! |
 xVAMPIRExEMPRESSx 2009-11-12 . chapter 16LOL! Soo COOL! Please Keep Updating :D :D |
Loyal Reader 2009-11-12 . chapter 1 Not to be melodramatic or anything...but I may die if you do not update this soon. I love your writing.

Minxette 2009-10-13 . chapter 16I'm in love! I was so excited to read this, I'd even save some chapters to my ipod to read at work.
The only thing i can say is the italic font kind of makes the paragraph hard to read at times. Switching from normal to italic throws me off a bit.
Other wise, it's fantastic. Update soon! |
Nyllewell 2009-10-08 . chapter 16Alright. I read Dramatic Orchestrations and now I'm reading this, and I've noticed a huge difference between the two. First, the sequel is too chaotic; its like you can't hold on to one strain of thought, and sometimes it works well, and sometimes it doesn't. I also think you've strayed too far from Sarah and Jareth and got a little overboard with your OCs. I like them a lot, as *supporting* characters. Listen For Thunder has also lost that strange feeling of angst that was predominant in Dramatic Orchestrations. That being said I absolutely love these two stories, but I do remember reading a comment from you asking why the reviews had decreased and I think its the overall organization, or lack thereof, of this story. So, you're at your best when you can feel the love/hate push/pull relationship between Sarah and Jareth, and I want to know more of this unstable Jareth that we started to see in DO, cuz I keep seeing an exhausted king resting by a window. Don't lose the focus because ultimately I'm only concerned with Jareth's and Sarah's thoughts, everyone else is secondary. So, um, I reiterate, I love these stories, and please understand that this is a request from a fan who believes enough in the integrity of the story to voice some concerns. |
Mari Strange. 2009-10-02 . chapter 16Sorry. This is offically the longest eview i've ever written. By far. This is too much. I'm sorry. But ima keep on typing anyway.
Dont pin me as ungrateful or unsymathetic, I defenitly understand where you are coming from. You can only work with two characters, especially two such as Sarah and Jareth, for so long. And every author needs a break from certian characters, but, please, update!
Please, please, dont drop this story! I dont thin i've ever liked a fanfiction more.
Sorry to push you, and please, feel free to email me, just incase it doesnt show in a review, at , and tell me if your keeping it or not. Or anything, even to bitch about how horribly long this multichaptered review is, and how i need a life.
Waiting on baited breath,

Mari Strange. 2009-10-02 . chapter 15So my internet just crapped out on me, and this is the second time i am writing this huge ass review.
I'm usually more of an 'update soon' kind of girl, but your stories, especially this one, do things to me.
So, I'll try and remember the forever lost and perfectly eloquent review that is lost, floating around alone and perfectly edited.
I loved Dramatic Orchestrations. It was the best completed Labyrinth story i've ever read, and i've read most of them. Even though I usually get pissed when i get robbed of a happy ending, i really respect you for not forcing two characters who werent emotionally ready to be together.
And when i read about the sequel, and then read it, (by the way, ive literraly read everythig youve written in the past week--we have the exact same fandoms!) I was estatic. Sarah was more mature, and ready for Jareth, her family was beginning to accept it, everything was great.
And then i saw the last update date.
I almost cried.
Dont pin me as ungrateful or unsymathetic, I defenitly understand where you are coming from. (Cont.) |
FugitiveFantasy 2009-09-30 . chapter 9I love this story! Its sheartbreaking how Jareth's mind is slipping. I wanted to cry a lil bit there at the end. Wonderful job with this your a very good writer. |
 FugitiveFantasy 2009-09-30 . chapter 7omg I love that ending lol |
 Hailey 2009-09-29 . chapter 16 Update.Please! |
Dancequeen105 2009-09-27 . chapter 16I really can't wait to see what happens now. I just stumbled upon this fic and the first one, dramatic orchestrations, yesterday, and I read both without really stopping at all between chapters. It kept me wanting to read more, and I definitely want to see how this ends! Please update soon if you can :) |
