Great story; really well written and exciting. I think you nailed Keller on the head - she's not a gung-ho, confident action hero, and she'll never really become one. She's just a doctor who happens to be in another galaxy!

oh wow! such a great fic for so many reasons. for starters, you write so well! i could totally imagine myself in the situations with the characters. and you have the characters down so well. plus the plot was very interesting and kept me reading until the end.
again, well done, five stars

Aw! This is so much fun, and also the perfect Keller fic--you really capture everything I love about her character: her nervousness, and her sense of being an outsider, and her ability to come through in a pinch. Awesome.

Wowee that was really good!
I like how you told the whole story from Keller's point of view. There were some very sweet and moving moments between her and Rodney. Good team banter in the last chapter too. I agree Aliens is better than Alien ;)

Starrylizard recced this, and I absolutely loved it. I read very little SGA, but this felt perfectly and exactly like them. And I do like Keller.

Ha! This was awesome fun, in a hurty/comfort sorta team-y way. Love the Keller-McKay interactions and the light-hearted ending. I'm really enjoying Keller in the show too! :)

I have all kinds of love for this fic, and all your other stories.

I loved this story, it was awesome. I'd love to see it continued. Also, I was seriously impressed at your ability to keep the story going even after McKay and Keller reached the hovel. I've seen a lot of fic that kinda gets bogged down and you handled it superbly.

I totally absolutely love it! It is awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome! Awesome!! Rodney and Jen are so cute! I really hope you write another fic! Because I loved this one! I love how last chapter, John mentioned that Jen looked like she was holding on to Rodney like he might float away! I loved the action and suspense and whumping!! And the fact that like didn't 'get together' in the end actually was nicer then most fics where the charactors go through an adventure and fall madly in love, kiss, etc, etc... Awesome story! Write more!! Because your writing's awesome!!

I really enjoyed reading this. I like Keller too, and it was fun to have just her and Rodney for a while, then everyone. Hopefully we'll hear more about her and Ronon... And more Lorne too, please - I like him!

Thanks so much for posting this :)

Hiya! So, a couple of people have asked how Rodney "stunned" the marine, and that's my fault -- I should not have assumed everyone has seen the episode "Harmony". He used the stunner he carries in his backpack. I'll make it clear in the fic.

Also, just fyi, the Helenan minister is not the ruler of his people. He is just a diplomat the Helenan's assigned to the Atlantian team. But even if he was, I'm really surprised people think it's OOC for Keller to stand up to someone when it comes to a medical issue. She wouldn't be an effective head of medicine if she wasn't capable of that strength. She may be shy about a lot of things, but she has never been shy about her work -- and being lied to about the state of the patients she is going to see and consequently not being fully prepared? No doctor is going to take that lightly.
