Doberman, while you were MIA, I made a couple of Halo fics. 100 percent of them bombed, and were not excepted well. However, after so many failures, I finally posted a Halo fic that readers actually can stomach. It's called Halo: Guardian. I, and other authors, think it's pretty cool. I hope you can read and review. It's easier to find it under my profile than tracking it down under the Halo catagory.

Oh my God. I want to kick myself for not returning to this fic. I love this chapter so much. The Master Chief is like a teenager with a loaded gun, except he's good at what he does. Good chappie. I liked the part where Vern yells "Why me?!" at the sky...I think everyone's had one of those moments.

My favorite part, by far, is when he tried to find the horn to warn the jackals to "get out of the way"... that was great.
