What a wonderful story! I'm sorry that I did not find it until now. I love your characterization of little Al Severus. He's the perfect little visitor for Snape's portrait. I'm sad that Snape felt the need to be dishonest with the boy at first. Please do update with a sequel! I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

Oh, I wish this wasn't the ending! He will need an assistant (because dunderheads will continue to throw bad things in each other's cauldrons and blow up the place), but he would be good, especially with the NEWT classes who should be past that sort of thing.

Dumbledore admitting something was his fault? We heard him do so at Kings Cross in DH, but in a way that excused everything he did for the Greater Good. It's nice to see him take some _real_ responsibility this time. After all, it wasn't Snape who left Harry with the Dursleys or served Harry up to be slaughtered like a pig, either.

And it's about time that Snape received some of the honor that has been due him all this time.

"Severus" was chosen for the second name because Albus Dumbledore is still worshiped in the Wizarding World, and Snape is not--although I think both portraits have probably figured that out already. It's clear that Harry says little about Snape, but he's the only one who actually says anything at all, whereas there are probably Chocolate Frogs galore with Dumbledore's picture on it.

But then, Al doesn't seem to want to talk to Dumbledore too awfully much.

Albus Severus is no fool, either--no matter what Harry says, Ginny would not be happy about her son being in Slytherin, and neither would Uncle Ron or Aunt Hermione or...the fact that Harry had to _whisper_ to his son about Slytherin and Severus pretty much says it all.

But here's hoping Albus (portrait) doesn't interfere too much (though of course it would be for everyone's--well, his--good, naturally).

I like that Sev has seen it has a second chance and took it as such! He gets to teach again!! I would love to read a sequel to this! Let me know ok!

Well life bites people on arse, everybody learns that eventually. Plus, Albus thought of Severus as a nice person and Severus didn't want that image jarred. Plus What was Draco doing teaching his child such things as that! I thought Draco liked Snape, that was his godfather!

aw, He's being so good with Albus! Talking to a portrait must be odd, but its's so cool that he's tutoring him!

I imagine Severus doesn't know what to think about somebody being named after him. I don't like the oldest child. I haven't liked him in other stories as well. I like Albus Severus though.

I was so disappointed that in Deathly Hallows, Harry never got to talk to Snape after discovering the truth about him.

So I'm so glad that you've given Snape a second chance! I loved your Albus Severus, so young and vulnerable. And, although he doesn't appear in person, I particularly loved your Harry.

definitely enjoyed this story. i like the idea of severus being able to have a life afterwards. it was really sad though. i almost cried when they fought. but overall, the story was cute and enjoyable.
