It's been so long..

oh i LOVE regency and LJ regency is good sort of Jane Austen aint it?

Wonderful concept so far. I, myself, am a lover of Miss Austen's novels, so this will be tracked closely, I assure you!

A few things (only because you specifically requested to be corrected on Regency mannerisms):
- Ages over 19 are referred to as x & twenty (one and twenty, rather than twenty and one)
- The eldest sister is referred to as Miss . The younger sisters are all Miss . (Miss Evans would be Petunia... Miss Lily Evans is obvious)- being referred to as Miss is considered an honor, and the eldest gets all the honors.
- As such, the younger sisters are usually referred to as "Miss " in company, rather than Miss .
- Male aristocrats (I assume here that James and Sirius are still aristocratic, or they would not be visiting, but working) only have a governess for the first bit of their life. After ... 14 or so, they attend school, usually a boarding school, for education. The most wealthy families send their children to university, and then a few years "on the continent" to take a tour in their younger years (21-24 or so), practice their French, and become "worldly."
- In general, servants in a household would be referred to only by their first name or their last name. (Thomas or Crowne, but not Mr. Crowne, nor Mr. Thomas)

Whew. And now I feel I must add to my accolades for your work, because my criticisms currently outweigh my adulations! You're fantastic, I love your work, you're truly original, and I can't wait to read more.

All of your stories, as different as they are lovely in their own individual ways, are making my eyes go bad from reading them all day :D I don't know if I told you this in a review for Quiet Summer (which I plan on reviewing following this), but your writing style is absolutely beautiful. It's so descriptive, but not overly descriptive.

I've read several stories that try to pull off this same AU theme, yet fail miserably because they forget and use slang or incorporate modern aspects. I have a feeling that you won't do that, thank God! You've truly impressed me with this first chapter alone.

This review is such a waste because I have absolutely no criticism to offer you, but I'm sure you don't mind ceaseless praise either ;D Great work, dear. I can't wait for the next chapter to see what other literary trick(s) you pull out of your sleeve.

This is the first regency fanfic I've read which actually seems to be authentic! Love the fact that you've put a lot of research into this! I LOVE it!

Wow! This is incredible! I had no idea you would ever write something like this. I can't say I’ve ever read many fic's like this before. It's not really my forte, the whole reset-in-another-era thing. Not that i don't like historical novels, quite the contrary, i'm an Austen fan myself. But Potter characters in historical settings never really appealed to me.

That is, till now. I'm enchanted. The Moment i knew it was James and Sirius at the door as 'Mr. Potter' and 'Mr. Black', all my doubts flew away. And the moment i read this line-

'“Hippocrates.”

They turned as one – stupid duffers – to look at him. After a moment’s pause, each man wearing an identical, controlled mask of surprise, they glanced at one another before exclaiming, their hands in the air as if in celebration, “Hippocrates!”'

-I knew i was in love.

So. Devine. I can't wait to find out what they did to offend poor Lily.

As always, your writing inspires me to try and better mine. Great Job.

Firstly, I must admit that I am a tried and true Austenite. And I believe that this story does her justice! It is fantastically written, and you've actually managed to capture the independence and regalness that are her heiroine's in Lily...or shall I say Miss. Evans? (This actually made me want to write my review with proper diction. Very nice!)
