Reviews for A Person of Value
Lisa Cooper 4/30/13 . chapter 3
Thank you for all the detail in your stories. I was in the mood for more substance in what I was reading, and so I came back to this story. Lisa Cooper

"A Person of Value", was so good. I loved that you added so much detail, meat, to the story to say the least. It was nice how you provided Patty help along the way to Anton. Also, I am so glad Patty got a happy continuation of her life. Danke for this story! I look forward to reading more of your work. Best of luck and Happy Holidays, L. Fassmann
Sonorous Serendipity 9/22/12 . chapter 30
That was beautiful. It absolutely captured the very essence that the book possessed. I was a wreck when Anton died in the book, and this divergence fic is just... marvelous.
My only comment is that Patty's impulse decision to up and go to Germany seemed a bit out of place.
Now, off to browse the sequel. *scampers off*

Very good my friend, but then you always have been a very good and imaginative writer. Even when we were in school, in drama class together. You always had a way of describing things to the point where it was like the person was seeing it as you saw it. :)

Wow! This chapter(which I read before w/o reading the whole story) & the sequel has a lot more meaning behind it w/ the amazing journey!
Ifab1ndiya 10/4/10 . chapter 28
Does the sun really stay at 10 in Germany? Amazing!

I'm imagining Anton & Patty as the actors in the 1970s movie whom I thought were nice looking! But I imagine them as older! Zomg, nice couple, esp if Patty is bigger! :D

Great story! I can't believe I didn't read this before, esp before starting on the sequel! ZOMG!
Ifab1ndiya 10/3/10 . chapter 13
I like the character of David & Kathy.
Ifab1ndiya 10/3/10 . chapter 9
This is amazing! I can't believe I haven't read earlier! I don't think I did... So compelling! Summer of My German soldier should've ended like this!
SilverStarFire15 6/16/10 . chapter 1
I am so glad Anton did not die in this version! I have been looking for a good SOMGS fanfic! Thank you!
Coldjava 1/3/10 . chapter 30
I'm wiping my tears away right now xD It was a wonderful story and no complaints from me and I'll be right off reading the sequel.

I swear, this should have been the sequel to SoMGS and not Morning is a Long Time Coming. I was heartbroken when I read it recently but when I cam across this, my heart sang in a miraculous chorus!

Loved every second reading this! 10/10!
eschsmith 1/2/10 . chapter 7
I am in love with your story! The only suggestion I have for this chapter has to do with Patty's accent. Having grown up in rural Arkansas myself I do know that I have a more pronounced southern accent than my friends from some of the larger towns in Arkansas, and upon leaving the south the first thing people comment on is my drawl. It would be likely that someone in New York would have commented on Patty's accent.
