This little chapter made me very pleasantly surprised. I have been searching for a simple fanfiction where some of the genders are different. I have also been wondering where I could find a story where Naruto and Sasuke bonded, as friends or more. To say I'm happy would be an understatement, at this moment. The only little peeve I have is about their names. In the original timeline, I think his 'special' technique created a character he, or whoever, had called Naruko - or at least, it had been implied...? I also doubt Sasuke's parents wouldn't have found a different name for their daughter, unless they were maniacs in denial who gave their daughter a male name. Seeing, hower, that they already had Itachi... Well, they would have named Sasuke a variation of the name; preferably female of course.

On a side note, however, I find your lovely little story interesting, and I hope you continue it - with or without changing the names...
Seriously, though; continue! You have much positive feedback and that should already encourage you enough for a few more chapters... : D

I have to admit, I love how Sakura is still the odd-girl-out in this universe. She's not a rabid fangirl, but she's still the total bitch she was in canon - and Naruto is still the idiot, and Sasuke is still creepy, and Kakashi is still the totally inept teacher s/he was in canon. I feel a little bad for her...if it weren't for the fact that Sakura can take care of herself - even better than she can in the same place in canon, probably.

I guess it says something particular about me that even as unattractive and, frankly, nasty, Sakura is, I'm rooting for her to kick everyone's ass.

Will you be continuing this? I think it's a great idea, personally. Would love to see what changes and such. Would it be no pairings (ok), yuri (ooh), or Naruto/Neji (please!)?
At any rate; want to see this updated! Believe it! ^^

This is a wonderful piece that could be the beginning of a longer fic. Usually I hate fics that change the gender of one or more main characters (because it's obvious the only point is to pair them off and the writer can't stomach homosexuality), but this made me think; how things might have gone if they were girls? If Sakura wasn't a fangirl and Naruto wasn't in love with her what might that have done to the group dynamics?

Also Naruto-Sasuke friendship fics are love! I just wish Kishi would take a page from your book, I hate what he has done to Sasuke.
