I think it's a very good scene, rather touching, and everyone's spot-on in character. However, I'm a little confused about the identity of the scroll in Mai's sleeve and the paper in the fire in the very beginning. Clarification would give this oneshot the punch which would perfect it.

Nice and well written, if a little confusing. Is the scroll mentioned at the end the real letter from Zuko?

Great depiction of Mai, esp. in light of 315. I liked this a lot.
