2009-12-07 . chapter 21
I've been so engrossed reading I haven't left a review til now. This story has *so* many fascinating aspects to it. I loved the reveal of Harry's grandfather and the relationship we're getting to see him have; as harry says, such a wonder to have someone focused on just Harry & his safety, happiness. I adore Neville as a good friend stories, but what you've done with Lavender is surprising and engaging. I'm finding the dates, especially the more detailed ones that are thickening the plot to be interesting. There have also been more than few times when I've laughed or giggled--Neville's comments after Harry fries the Hufflepuff table, the Weasley boys laughing at the clueless adults and question 4.

Detailed, engaging, vibrant and interesting featuring some excellent work with characterization and development.

I love your story. Its very well written, thought out and intriguing. I absolutely love it and I'm very glad I spent the five hours searching for it, as I did read it once before, over two years ago and remembered bits and pieces until I had to find it. I love the ending and the placements of all the people of the prophecy as well as your inclusion of the Muses and other Greek deities. I'm a Greek history buff and so that made it just that much better for me to read. ^.^ All in all i think this is my absolute favorite fanfiction read to date, and thats saying something. I hope you go on to write something on your own, I will certainly try to keep an eye out for something. I'm not sure i'll be able to tell if its by you, but I'll hope. ^.^

Just finished this story! It was so good I barely put it down and it took me only 16 hours to read it! Very well done! I'm off to check out the rest of your fics. Thanks for sharing your talents with us! I espcially liked the parts about bird anatomy... I learned something new!

Thanks again,

Wow...just wow. Great story!! I couldn't stop reading it once I started!! Very interesting take on the whole veela mate story. I am awed at how much effort it must have taken to have written all of this!! All the factual aspects of this as well as going above and beyond to write this really long, detailed, and epic epilogue impressed me...a lot. I know that doesn't sound all that eloquent but this story seems to have made me speechless...I'm sure I'll continue to love this story as I reread it many times.

Now that I've praised your wonderful story, I have to disagree about one aspect of the story...I love kimchi!! :D

Heyo, your links at the bottom of this chapter don't seem to work but it was easy enough to google the picture of the eagle. My favorite picture is this one though, http://s190./albums/z257/americanwildlife/Bird/stellers-sea-eagle.jpg

It just screams "haughty" to me, in the way that D's eagle did, haha. Thanks for the name! It is a lovely bird, but another exotic pet that I happen to love (that is close to the owl family) is something called the "Frogmouth". It's a very "Harry Potter" sort of name, but the Tawney Frogmouth is one of the most adorable birds I've ever seen, and I thought you'd appreciate it it too, haha. Keep up the good work! I am enjoying the read immensely!

It's me again, and damn you once more for making me stay up on ANOTHER school night, haha. XD it's currently 3:16 AM. But enough about time, what kind of eagle was it that Draco sent to Harry? I might be blind, and missed it's name in the chapter but I thought I'd ask anyways. Great story so far! I'll keep on truckin'! :)

im really enjoying your story... chapter 19 and going strong :) I really like this bit about Rookwood and the Department of Mysteries... I would've been cool if you had built Charlie's side up slightly to parallel Draco and kept me in suspense as to who would eventually triumph... a rival war if you will... it would have been fun but its still a great story and I'm looking forward to the date with Charlie

"Despite their bad history, and the fact that Harry had gutted him, Draco felt that he actually had a more than reasonable chance of winning the hand of the submissive."

Now that is determination. Most people would take being gutted for touching someone's arm as a definite rejection. I love how you prtray Darco!

I just thought I would review to say how in awe I am of your writing abilities. I have no words to fully express how I feel about your writing, really, and I'm sure you get this quite a lot.

I hope that someday I can grow in my writing to be as talented as you are.

It's funny the things you notice when you re-read a story. I must have read this one at least five times, it's one of my favourites. For example, I really enjoy the sort of sales blurb you attach to various items - Scholar's Purse Plus, for one. They're small things, but with them thrown in, it just makes the story feel more real. I'm not being very articulate, because I really can't put my finger on what it is, specifically, which is so good about your writing.

I guess it's because it's so well balanced. None of the emotional side of things is too exaggerated, to the point of being ridiculous. The 'badies' are not one-dimensional, as often happens. They are complex, along with the rest of the characters. Every interaction appears well thought out, and realistic.

The story is just charming. It's witty and thought provoking, I could just go on for hours. I think I will stop though, so I can get back to reading it!

This is quite the well done story; I take it that Albion or Avalon or the British Isles are now secreted away from nonmagical contact, still under all those wards?
