I'm in love with both Rangiku and Shinji and through some crazed inner-workings of the mind decided they might be cute together. On a whim I searched for anything that might support this, was sad to find only one story when I inquired, but am so thrilled it was this. I love how this was written, very simple and easy to follow and appreciate without getting all flowery with the prose. Great characterization and attention to detail, you've made me very happy.

This pairing makes my day and i'm a little depressed to find that no one else finds them quite perfect for each other(except apparently you). Good job making Rangiku tough but still soft, as most portray her as loose and overbearing.
Your writing style is excellent and i thoroughly enjoyed the entire story.
Also, you made me laugh talking about where his "first love" comment came from.
As i said before- this is quite fabulous.

I can't even say why I liked this story so much, but I'll try my best. Everything was just so bittersweet and understated, and it really brought out how intricate the story feels. I don't even like Shinji, but I loved the interactions with Matsumoto and their odd friendship. I just didn't want to stop reading, it was excellent.

I'm not a hetshipper, normally, but I WILL enjoy any story for the characterization, and you did that extraordinarily well, here. I have a gigantic weakness for good Shinji fic of any bent, and I love that you manage to put across his surface nonchalance and swagger and his deeper aspects, the srs bsns captain-material and the somewhat quieter and more human (hee) facets.

Your development of Rangiku was absolutely fascinating, too. She's such a strong and seemingly well-adjusted character that we aren't really driven to give much thought to a time when she might have let things show more easily--I love that you compared her to Orihime, too, because looking back, her younger self was a lot closer to Hime. (:

Fantastic job at portraying both of them, and a great look at a relationship that never quite made up its mind. I hope to see more of this pairing and/or more of both of these characters from you!

This is impressive. I've just read the most recent flashback Bleach manga chapters, so I've gotten a pretty good idea of Shinji's character, and you've done VERY well in writing about them both and being true to their characters. These two do work together, and I would've never even thought about it. Excellent! I can't wait to see if you write more involving these two, or maybe even just Shinji. :)

THIS has got to be the weirdest of pairings I have read and I've read quite a bunch of them stories.

And still, I HAD to read this because it was written by you and it was bound to be totally mind-blowing. Which it was, too. I couldn't even IMAGINE this pairing at all, let alone how it would work out but you have such a wonderful story-flow, such great descriptions and such a lovely, lovely story on the whole that I can't even begin to tell you how in love I am with this fic of yours.

Shinji and Rangiku are two of my most favourite characters and, while I am all for Shinji and Hiyori paired off together, I have to say that you did some miracles with ShinRan. Thank you for a wonderful and incredible read!
