Another - even greater example of what can be done with a "deleted scene". Loved what you did with setting and atmosphere here - the attention to detail is fantastic. What you did with Dumbledore was also amazing - the way he started out brilliant and invincible...and then became just a man, with weaknesses and skeletons in his closet. It mirrored the way JKR presented him to us. The Horcrux was characterised really well too, if you know what I mean.

I also admired your imaginativeness when recreating this scene. You drew upon what magic JKR gave us in the Ron/Harry/Locket scene, but you were not a slave to canon either.

And the ending? The ending was BRILLIANT.

Great one-shot, I loved it! I love the parallelism between Dumbledore destroying the ring and Ron destroying the locket in DH. The title is perfect, and I love the last line. Overall, kudos!

I've always wondered about these happenings, and I think you've written something very in keeping with canon. The exceptional ending with Snape really ties things into place. Quite good!
