Just finished reading all 10 chapters and I thought it was exceptional. Your writing style is descriptive yet flows well and is pleasant to read. Your plot is well thought out and fits flawlessly with the canon. Your characterizations of Waka and Ammy are beautiful, you give them such depth.

I eagerly await your next chapter, perhaps you could write about the Poncle village as we no little about its origins or culture.

Also as an aside your work has radically changed the way I view Waka. When I first played Okami- some years back, I didn't have access to a memory card. I thought I would give the game a go anyway and was having a lot of fun when I arrived in Agata Forest.

After dispelling the curse zone I enthusiastically set of to explore the forest.

Needless to say I ran into Waka who then proceeded to destroy me. I lost 10 hrs of playtime and was absolutely devastated.

Although I have finished the game multiple times since then I still viewed Waka with mistrust and displeasure. Waka was to become my arch nemesis and any mention of him would cause me to curse loudly.

However I loved the way you portrayed him trying to come to terms with his loneliness and grief due to Ammys absence. As of now Waka is officially forgiven. :)

I've only read the first chapter of this story but it already seems like a great one. The writing is detailed and the characterization accurate. I'll admit that reading Amaterasu's thoughts felt strange to me, at first, because I'm used to her being a silent protagonist but I think you did a very good job in giving her personality. I'll be sure to keep reading!

Ah I remember this sidequest, took me ages to figure out what I had to do! XD As always your characterization is great and so fun to read. I love it when people give the minor characters some attention, especially when it's so well written. If you ever feel the urge to write something on Tama or Abe I'd be super keen to read it (hint hint) ; I always thought the way he fanboys over Waka is amusingly cute.

One of the best Okami stories I've ever read. The extra effort you put forth to giving personalities to the characters, especially Amaterasu, who never really speaks in the whole game, goes a long way. Definitely looking forward to more! :D

Honestly, it had been so long I thought that this had been dropped, which would be a terrible shame considering how enjoyable it is to read! It was a pleasant surprise therefore, to see an update email in my inbox, and i was not disappointed! Writing something so well from such a minor character's point of view is a major achievement, and I enjoyed every minute of my reading it. _

Interesting chapter, I really liked the focus on the Great Thief Hayazo and the various confusing and downright insane events that happen during his observations within his hiding places. Though the chapter, at first, didn't seem very promising, the end result had me taking that back: this chapter is pretty good. For one thing, it was amusing to read about Hayazo's pride getting chipped piece by piece by (what appears to be) a rare white mountain wolf who seemed to have the abnormal forces of nature on his/her side for some strange reason. Secondly, the amusing descriptions of very fast Ink Brush techniques (particularly that of Crescent) were very, well, amusing, particularly when you see those through Hayazo's logical thinking and all too mortal mind. Third and finally, the extremely hilarious and appropriately quick blow-ups of his Vanishing Technique had me chuckling at the accuracy of the event and the obviously screwed-over Six Ways to Sunday Hayazo when his impenetrable technique seems to be unable to fend off that of Voodoo Wolves.

I simply love these one-shots. They're probably the truest to the characters' personalities that I have read so far. I especially liked when you added Ammy's thoughts to the scene where she and Issun meet Waka in Agata forest, they fit perfectly. Plus, the one-shots before the game began helped me to look at the game from an entirely new perspective. Your writing style is wonderful also, it kept my attention the whole way through each one-shot, which is more than I can say for some Okami fanfiction writers on this site. I hope to see more Okami one-shots from you in the future. I really enjoyed them. Keep writing! XD
