Awesome! The interactions of Elladan and Elrohir with Estel were great. They and Glorfindel are his everyday teachers ... The description of the bout with Elrond and the little insights into the motivation of each of the opponents were intricately woven together. Loved the thoughtful interchange between Elrond and Estel in the pool. Very realistic showing of how much thought goes into teaching. It's quite believable that Elrond would use such an opportunity to give some one-on-one teaching in words. The short scene in his study was filled with great little details. Was that perhaps a family sword? Arathorn's maybe?

This is a very fine story-and I like the philosophical points you made! Especially when Elrond told Estel there will come a time when he will need to be equally circumspect so as to teach without breaking the student... VERY good! :)
