Especially this, though. This is Fang, pure and simple. He's a deep person, and I love how you captured that but didn't have to sacrifice the way he talks and who he really is.

I enjoyed reading this one. You managed to keep Fang well in character while still managing to pull off something that was refreshingly different; I don't recall ever reading anything like this before. It was well-balanced, too; you did an excellent job of inserting some Fax into the story without letting it totally dominate the plot. Well done - keep up the good work!

I love the kids prayer, and how Max-and clearly the others-feel accepted and heard in the church. I also love how Angel's prayer was answered; even though it was insignificant it was a huge gesture. (it's always good to know that God is answering your prayers)

I like to think that it's God talking to Max. My reasons for thinking this is that the Voice is capitalized, he says that he loves Max more than anyone else, he guides her to all the places she needs to go and provides for her, (i.e. The Institute and the Card)and that he doesn't tell her straight out what she wants to know. God only gives us what we can handle when we can handle it, and if you notice in the Bible he asks a lot of rhetorical questions. Also the bit about doing the right thing and not being right-also in the form of a question.
