This was just great! I'm sure I didn't catch all the JEH references, since, truth to tell, the only thing I ever saw him in was Voyagers (dratted work schedule!) I did catch the one about him holding his finger in the hole in the wall all night...shades of Mary Mapes Dodge! And the backflip on the dance floor-I've seen *that* clip on the 'Net. And I caught three, count 'em, *three,* nods to Voyagers: 1) "Of course not. No one has." 2) The blonde's name was *Suzie*! 3) "Aren't those Swiss watchmakers amazing?" I know a lot of the gags may not have been intended; but those are the best ones! Girl, you really know how to handle the humor; you manage to inject it *believably* into the tensest moments! I think my favorite one was "Rollie Pollie!"

You just had to do it. "I will always love you." is one of my favorite Dolly Parton songs. Dolly is my all time favorite country singer. I have to say, what a great Cover-Up story. I can't wait to read the next installment. (And you better write one! LOL!)

The horn on Rolland's Cadillac says it all, "La Cucaracha", sums him up quite nicely. What an exciting suspense-packed chapter. Glad that Mac and Gretchen are back together again.

OMG! Heather killed her own husband! What a twisted plot... I wasn't expecting this twist at all.

Rollie Pollie! ROFLOL! Mac and Gretchen's playful bantering is absolutely cute to say the least. I laughed myself silly as she was 'basting' him, and about lost it completely when she told him to go 'ding, ding' when he gets too hot and she come and turn him over. Ain't love grand? Ok now, Mac needs to watch his mouth and Gretchen needs to quit wearing her feelings on her sleeve. The way they are going at it, one minute swooning and the next minute at each others throats, you'd think they'd been married for years. An unexpected twist, Rollie Pollie tried to blow up Dani, I guess Mac will be next on the list. Oh my, no, it's Gretchen. Great chapter!

Mr Peeping Tom Rolland. So that's why no one enters his study. Sliding panels, secret passages, The intrigue and suspense just keeps on going. I could just picture Mac sliding down that passage and zooming out into the pool. The Scooby Doo reference is priceless!

Love the 'Go get em' tiger!" scene. Excellent touch. You complimented previously on how well I seem to set the scene with my descriptive narratives and you were still working on doing that in your stories. Well, your description of the dining room is very stunning. So give yourself a pat on the back. Oh my, I can't believe you put in the Krazy glue thingy. She obviously 'stuck it' to him. How evil! LOL! What a name for a cover 'Mackenzie Hagen-Hovdenschattermanjensen' I'm surprised Gretchen didn't get her tongue twisted around those strapped on heels of hers trying to pronounce it. Try saying that ten times fast. Who is 'Don Swan?" ROFLMBO! Love the twist with the knife triggering a flashback for Mac. Great job!

You always seem to nail the personalities and mannerisms of your characters quite well in our stories and Rolland and the Sheriff here are no exceptions. The southern expressions and drawl are superb. I can't picture the great Dani Reynolds down and dirty with a bib and a plate of sticky, gooey Texas style ribs.

Your description of Mac's dream as he relives the torture he went through during his Brazilian capture is both vivid and moving. Ok, Dr. Dani Reynolds to the rescue... And the diagnosis is... the envelope please... PTSD! Mac and Gretchen both are so madly in love with each other, but they are both too stubborn to talk to each other. Great chapter and well written.

Well 86 the Mac/Gretchen relationship. I can't believe he would do this intentionally, he must be doing it to protect her. The brave Mac Harper would never do something like this out of a fear of committment. Luckily Dani was there to provide that 'motherly' support in her time of sadness. I knew it...Mac's not the bad guy. He broke up with her because he loved her and didn't want to see her hurt. What a valiant sacrifice on his behalf. Great reference to Dallas' other airport, Love Field. You nailed Roland's personality and speech patterns. I'm surprised I didn't meet him when I was in Dallas many years ago. LOL! Oh, Gretchen is sure throwing out the barbs. She's definitely 'a woman scorned.'

Great description of Mac's light sensitivity. ROFLOL! Mac, domesticated?, I can't imagine, but leave it to Dani to stroke his big ego and convince him to go along. "Somewhere over the rainbow." What a line, and Mac wearing the multi-colored speedos that JEH wore in the swimsuit pictures. That would not be Mac-like at all. You are killin' me with this humor. The Sonny and Cher jokes are right on! So, Gretchen is gonna be Mac's love interest like Susan is Bogg's. You really did a great job capturing Gretchen's concerns and feelings over Mac and his dangerous assignments.

What a great start. A wealthy oil-tycoon out for a little bit of fun, hooks up with a beautiful girl who drugs him, steals his valuables and leaves him by the side of the road. Is this Cover-Up or Dallas... Sounds like something that happened to J.R. Ewing. Great Chapter.

AW!! YAY FOR THE HAPPY ENDING! Ginger this was an AWESOME story! But Beery got to LIVE!?! Well, I guess that’s better in a way because he gets to suffer for the rest of his life, knowing who did it and why.

OMG!! CHiPs!! ROFLMBO! And what is WRONG with Gretchen!? “the guy that REPLACED Larry Wilcox?!?” HELLO! What about LARRY WILCOX! Geeze Woman! LOL Okay Okay... I know Jon was considered to be Larry's replacement, but still... why not Larry?!? :D

And Thank You Leanne for pointing out my OBVIOUS flub in missing Jack Striker. I can't bring myself to watch the first ep. without Jon, so I completely forgot the new agent's name. When you said he was Austrailian, I thought of Tristan Rogers because I remembered he was in one episode... ::hangs her head in shame:: and I call myself a fan. :( ::giggles::

I wanna read about Dani and her cowboy now! LOL THAT would be a fun story to do… ::wink wink, nudge nudge.:: LOL

WOWIE ZOWIE GIRL! That was one intense ride! Beery got just what he deserved, and his wife will rot in the hell of her own making for the rest of her life. I like how you didn’t tell us she was just as slimy and rotten as he was until the end. Nice touch.

Aw.. Sheriff J’s in love with Dani! ::claps:: they need to take a long quiet vacation together to get to know each other better. I really like them together. Now Mac just needs to realize that you CAN have love in his line of work, and we’re golden!

Wow, I didn’t think it would be Heather for THOSE reasons! She had everybody fooled huh? Her and Sabrina… I’m so glad that’s not my life. What a miserable existence. I couldn’t do it. Now I wanna see Gretchen save herself AND be saved by Mac! And more cuddles for Sheriff J and Ms. Dani! LOL
