Anyway, the beginning is terrific. I'm not sure why Mike's mom is scared to go somewhere by herself, but other than that, it sounds great. The conversation between the boss and Sunglasses did require a few readings (or maybe I'm just slow), but once I realized that Mike came in on the tail end of the conversation, it made sense. It was a bit confusing when suddenly Jack replaced Boss with no prior warning, however.

I like the alternate point of view idea. There probably are at least /some/ leaks in Itex's plans, because how can you keep something that big totally secret? Good job with the depiction of Mike; I can really picture him as a kid who is dealing with his own problems but stumbles on a bigger secret.
