I like this look into the mind of Martouf and Lantash and their feelings for Samantha Carter. It is an interesting contrast that Lantash the normally more rash of the two is the one choosing to be patent and the reserved Martouf the reserved one.

The conflict that they face between their love for Jolinar and the potential for it with Sam is an interesting counterpoint to what Sam is going through at the time of season 2 and 3 in having to deal with all the emotions and memory's Jolinar's death pushed onto her. I love the description of seeing two souls in the same body and how the perception of that differs between Martouf/Lantash and Sam. At the end you finish this story on a note of hope even as most readers know it is not to be.

I recommend that anyone who likes this story should read the author's other story "Compromised" and anyone who has read that one should read this is it gives an interesting insight into an important non point-of-view character in that story.

I really love how Martouf and Lantash help each other and discuss their feelings as possibilities with Sam. I hope you will write a continuation of this.

Wow, I got to admit I am a die-hard Sam/Jack fan but I found this piece interesting. I liked how both personalities emerged and how you presented his (their) feelings for Sam. Very interesting.
