I always thought B's insanity always had something to do with the fact that he could 'see' death, but I'm glad you took a different approach. Very cute.

amazingly fantastic! poor little Beyond! i love your word choice, and the mood and rhythym of the peice. It's almost as if the story is a soft lullaby, and when I read the lines
"That was till the B-Box broke.
And along went his sanity and memories." the peaceful lullaby stops with a clash of disharmonious chords.

Fascinating idea. I love Watari trying so hard to look after them all, I love B's childish need, I love L's skepticism about the change, and I LOVE this line: "then was he reminded he once belonged to himself." That one makes the fic.

It's not as good as your other stuff (being your first fic and all :P), but it has a nice undercurrent to it, a kind of quiet pain that hangs after it finishes, and that's lovely.
