Pretty good, I haven't read the book but it's very vivid and striking. It makes me feel tense - I don't know what's going on, but at the same time I find out a lot. Idk it's wierd, lol. Good job.

Yes, I can imagine that if Edward killed Bella in her own front lawn, things might get kind of awkward.
