I enjoyed this very much, and not in other ways, as it was a very painful read at points. You use the second person incredibly well, adding that detachment, and the feeling of being both behind Mac's eyes and in front of him. You have a fantastic hold on the characters, and behind their facades. The exchange between Danny and Stella particularly brilliant, batting back and forth, point scoring, and Hawkes the unseen, and the unusual gossip. The words between Mac and Stella are perfect, perfect understanding and misunderstanding. I love to how you write the raw physicality of both, the sensual explorations. Excellent. More please.
