Oh lordy you really could feel Dean's panic growing with each passing second, his need to find his brother, to get him to safety as he recalled painfully what damage a fire could do. Mr Lackey was the perfect tool for Dean to deflect against, and the older man's sage understanding was covered in just a few choice words but gave Dean enough leeway to go find his so innocent brother. Loved it.

A wonderful one piece, perfect to stand alone as it does, but leaving you open to add to perhaps with other pertinent moments in the weeWinchester growing up experiences (hint, hint!!)that peppers their lives.

i think fire drills are stupid cause when there finally is a real fire no one will take it seriously, though getting out of class is nice. Dean's reaction is understandable, great fic!!

Awesome oneshot, you had me so worried as DFean searched frantically for his little brother. I just jknew then that the school was truly on fire, until I got to the end and Sammy told him everything was fine that it was just a drill!
