| Lost In Thyme 2008-05-22 ch 2, | abuseI'm looking forward to seeing where this goes! Your grammar's fantastic (sighs with relief) and although this is short, it's clear that you're gonna flesh it out a bit. At least, I hope I'm not just imagining things. But anyway! Please update soon, when you have the time. Yours in Christ, Rachel |
| The Archaic Minister 2008-05-21 ch 2, | abuseAm I the only one smart enough to review this work of art and not scold it as though I were a wannabe Jesus reborn? |
| The Archaic Minister 2008-05-21 ch 1, | abuseI'm a secular Ashkenazi Jew. |
| official spoonlicker 2008-05-18 ch 1, | abuseI'm loving this! :) The concept of it is grasping, to begin with. I assume that you'll follow this up until she becomes a believer? For those who slammed this without realizing that is was FICTIONAL: Come on now. That was some hardcore flaming. Be nice and use your head a bit. |
| Clouded Horizon 2008-05-12 ch 2, | abuseThis is a really good beginning. Your style as the main character's interesting and engaging. Grammar and everything is perfect, I think, but you could make the chapters a bit longer! Unless that counteracts the style of the story, of course. :) Yeah, anyway, please update soon. ~clouded horizon~ |
| Xx Trinity xX 2008-05-12 ch 2, | abuseOkay, I apologise for getting your poiint wrong, but I am not sorry for what I said. It isn't my fault if somebody neglects to tell everyone that this is fiction. That said, this isn't bad. I know that some people view us in this way, but i still think that perhaps a less extreme "outside" view would be more appropriate. Thank you for setting me straight on your intentions, anyway. I think that Cameron might be a bit more sad or shocked than you have described her, but aside from that, it's rather good, really. |
| EragonPeep 2008-05-11 ch 2, | abuseOh...oops. Sorry. :) I thought you were refering to yourself. Sorry x100. Anyway, now that i know that it's a story i would like to say that it really good. Keep up the good work! EP |
| Aslan's Lamb 2008-05-11 ch 2, | abuseI like where this is going. (I've read the other reviews for this story and it seems that people don't understand that this is fiction!) I like your character's tone. She seems to be a regular teenager, but there's something unique about her all the same. The words, "I'd go stark-raving mad!" made me grin. But there's one thing that I don't quite understand. Cameron just lost her mother to cancer a week ago. She doesn't sound like she's grieving or bitter. She sound careless. Is she in shock? Or did she not love her mother at all? I'm willing to wait a bit and hope that Cameron herself will provide some answers. Keep writing and don't let the ignorant reviewers discourage you! |
| Truth 2008-05-11 ch 1, anon. | abuseWhat you need to understand is that the religion is based on threats. Any sense of discomfort you have with it is not only understandable, but wise. |
| RussaNodrey 2008-05-11 ch 1, | abuseWelcome to the Dark Forest, where you'll be greated by the likes of Hitler, Mussolini, Napolean, Benedict Arnold, and Satan! |
| Xx Trinity xX 2008-05-11 ch 1, | abuseVery few Christians are like that- most of us keep to 'God loves us, but try not to sleep around, 'kay?'; so why are you writing stuff like that which isn't true? Who would do such an awful thing? It's like saying every single Muslim is a suicide bomber, or every Japanese person is a Kamikaze pilot. Besides, who are you to criticise? Everyone says things like that, like: 'I love you so much, son / daughter-- you're grounded for life for breaking that vase!' and so on, and so forth. If you'd like to mouth off religious groups, feel free to dislike them over actual reasons, not petty things. Not many Christians go into trances and all that stuff, the waving of hands normally only happens at Christian Rock gigs. Virtually no Christian thinks that dancing is evil (Except the really weird cults...) And you've just said that you will not squash our beliefs or call us stupid or anything; but you just have put us down, albeit not calling us stupid (thanks for that, at least) but it's still really hurtful and offensive for someone to write things like this. I'm not telling you to be a Christian, or to go to Chrusrch- if it's not for you, why should I ram my beliefs down your throat? I'm actually telling you to at least try to be nice about it- a lot of us don't procrastinate atheists or agnostics, so please be more careful in future, Opera Dove. Baka kisma ~x~ Rinchan |
| EragonPeep 2008-05-11 ch 1, | abuseWell if isn't for you then why do you want to tell other people faults about what they believe. Like you said, it's a free world. We can believe what we want to believe. Even though i'm a Christian, i know where you're going with the telling other people off for doing things like that. I personally don't like it but that's how people see things. The sticking their hands in the hand is if they feel inspired by the soothing presense of God. You don't have to go to Church or win ther Nobel Peace Prize, you just need to be yourself and try to do things that are right and not wrong. It's like Karma. Besides, you would naturally want to do thing right and be nice (unless you're in a bad mood) so it's not that hard. Some people (i think) take it too seriously and that's what scares people off. Anyway, don't fend people off because it's not for you, just accept them for what they believe in. EP |
