 Keji 2009-04-25 . chapter 1Oh Wow,
This was fabulous. It was sad and happy at the same time. I felt very bad for Thranduil though, and his worry and panic came out in waves. And it seemed he got there just in time! I dread to think what would happen if the elfling would have taken advantage of the strong winds!
Of course, there's no helping the sigh of relief at the end lol, this was very heartwarming Tinu. And boy, had I missed this!
I just finished deleting EVERY email that I won't even open, so that took ages lol, but here I am finally, on a long road to catch up to so much.
I'll see you in a bit! |
Blip-chan 2009-03-07 . chapter 1Aw. Poor Legolas, thinking if the wind blew him far enough he'd be able to bring his mother back. That's just too cute! |

Jedi Sapphire 2009-01-21 . chapter 1Another one I forgot to review, although I had read it earlier... *Shakes head*
I loved it, of course. *bg* Need I say how much I adored 'your' Thranduil, or how much at home I felt in your version of Mirkwood? It was so sweet listening to him trying to persuade Legolas to stay...
You write Thranduil-and-Legolas so beautifully, mellon nin; it was a delight to read this. I hope you won't keep us waiting too long for your next story. ;-)

Imbecamiel 2008-06-09 . chapter 1Eep! Oh no, I keep forgetting that I haven't reviewed this yet. *headdesks* Sorry to have taken so long!
As I believe I've said several times before - I love your Thranduil! LOL, oh dear, though, one has to feel a bit sorry for the delegates from Esgaroth. Even if they were being terribly long-winded, that's quite the bewildering exit for the king to make. ;D
And I feel sorry for the poor guard, too! I certainly wouldn't want to face Thranduil after losing the prince, even if he didn't know Legolas well enough to know he had a habit of slipping off like that. *g*
Oh, and I can only imagine how horrified Thranduil must feel, seeing Legolas up so far in the tree - and even more so when he announces that he thinks he can fly! I know how sick I've felt on the few occasions when I've turned my back for a minute and one of the children I'm babysitting climbed up on something dangerous, but how much more so when it's your own child!
But aww, Thranduil and Legolas are so cute together! And I absolutely love how he convinces Legolas not to try flying away to find his nana. *huggles them*
//“Ada?” Legolas piped up finally and Thranduil could feel him move slightly in his arms.
“Yes?”
“What are all the people doing down there?”//
*laughs* Oh dear! Quite embarrassingly difficult to have a moment like that alone when you're royalty...
And the ending: //Eying the palace healer, who seemed to be scowling right at him now, he added as an afterthought, “I think you should go first.”//
*giggles* O, Thranduil's gonna be hearing about this from Nestadren for a while, methinks. He, I do love Nestadren so much - he's such a lovely OC. *hugs him*
Wonderful, loverly story, mellon-nin!

Foxgurl0000 2008-06-04 . chapter 1That was one of the sweetest stories I've ever read! I lost my mother at a very young age and this is really touching for me. It was awesome, I loved it! You did an excellent job of portraying the characters and I liked that little bit of humor you put in at the end. Until next time!:) |
LenaLove 2008-05-14 . chapter 1This was lovely, Tinu. It is so good to find this little story from you here. It is too long since I heard from you! :D
Happy Mother's Day. *hugs* |
White Wolf1 2008-05-13 . chapter 1I have always loved the way we both share the same feeling of the kind of father Thranduil was to Legolas. This story greatly reinforces that feeling.
I love your version of Legolas’s mother. It is easy, from your description of her, how completely Legolas fits into the world of the forest and Nature in general.
It was scary to think of the dear elfling up in that tree during the storm (there’s one right outside as I write this), yet the vision of him with his arms outstretched, ready to fly, made me smile. The way he wanted to go find his mother and bring her back was so endearing.
It was also easy to see how frightening it would be for Thranduil. How could you not be touched by the things he said to talk Legolas into staying?
Of course, I agree completely with Nestadren’s ideas of the feelings Thranduil should have shared with Legolas. That made the humor at the very end so perfect.
Another lovely story. Please don’t make us wait so long before sharing another one. I loved it! |
