I loved this! You do such excellent short tales, and this is one of the best. The misdirection, the choice of words, then Inara being sneaky ... Brilliant. I know you don't usually do sequels, but I'd love to see Jayne outed one day, and having to explain to the crew just what he was doing there, and Mal trying to decide whether to jump in on his gunhand's behalf ... And Inara could be so like the cat that got the cream!
