Simply beautiful. I love the insights into the characters and the poetry of your words, as well as the harsh reality of the post-war situation.

There are moments of this that are simply gorgoeus:

-“I came to say,” she begins, softly, wispy like a feather but heavy like an old heart, “that I want to stay.”

and

-He can’t promise her the world, but he won’t deny her it either. It might not be unification, but it might be coexistence. And that is just fine for him.

Overall, a lovely ficlet. Melancholy but thoughtful.

Once again, you've written another wonderful, inspiring piece. My only gripe is well, can Toph see now? It confused me when you introduced, seeing how she is blind. I'm kinda a stickler for people not explaining big changes like that in 'future AU' stories.

Oh my god that is so beautiful. Everything about this fic was beautifully done (and, what's more, I've been reading a string of beautifully written one-shots today, which is funny, because every review says along the lines of the same thing). But of course, each fic has its uniqueness. The way you write, it's...thoughtful and passionate. Contemplative and completely introspective. I adore the way you captured Aang's emotions, his thoughts, and Zuko as well. Katara was described beautifully in those opening paragraphs. This was wonderful, and I have absolutely no critiques. Your use of imagery and adjectives is, as far as I can tell at the moment, unmatched. The only word to really describe this fic -is- beautiful.

*jaw drops; eyes tear up*
That was the most amazing thing I have read in a long time. Really a moving oneshot, and I'm inspired.
