Plate Captain 2009-06-08 . chapter 5This is so amazingly good! I love it so much. Especially Matt's chapter. Please keep up with the wonderful work. |
LockHimInACage 2008-12-31 . chapter 1Wow. This was really good. I teared up towards the end. |
keem 2008-08-20 . chapter 5this is an excellent little series. Mello's bits just about killed me. and Wedy... I really like your take on Wedy. I never considered her to be a part of Wammy's House, but it's a very interesting route you've decided to take. Excellent work, and I hope you write some more! |
SlvrSoleAlchmst1 2008-07-24 . chapter 5This really is a creative little piece. It was really great of you to start off with Aiber and Wedy. You gave them personalities beyond what we already knew from the canon, and you made them so tragic. I felt bad at the sense of hopelessness that eminated from them as they explained that Kira won and they'd die for being criminals (because they met Light and Light knows everything, gah).
Mello's bits were so emotional that I wanted to bawl for him. I like how you made him leave and then come back. But it was Matt's chapter that really grabbed me. I think it's just because I love Matt, especially the way you write him. He's the one with all the composure. The only one of the three boys that's still able to see with some level of objectivity. He seems cool and unaffected, but we know he was hit hard. I nearly died in those last three lines, when Matt decides he has something to add, and his cigarette lighter clicks, and he just says that they're going to fix it. Immediately, you get hit with this wave of something heavy, because as readers, we already know the gravity of what's coming. It was so, so powerful.
You do an excellent job of portraying so much in so little. Considering that all it is is a bunch of dialogue and a few brilliantly subtle sound effects here and there... I felt everything. You're great at choosing the right words to have a character say. I found a helluva lot of typos throughout this thing though... little words left out, or extra ones thrown in... Clean it up and it'd be even better. Er, but don't let that distract you from how excellent I think it is. XD |
WithABunny 2008-06-02 . chapter 5What I find amazing is that you've shaped the characters of these people using virtually only dialogue. Then again, I'm not too surprised - you are Mikanis, after all. Anything you pen is amazing. |
Pluto 2008-05-14 . chapter 5 well, people online think i'm crazy because i randomly shouted in a chatroom "HO ** MIKANIS HAS A NEW STORY" so, yeah.
that pretty much sums up my joy of a new story. i like the start, and the different characters reaction to L's death.
i'm curious as to how Near's interview will go.
the Near OneShot made Near look like he wasnt all there, so this is interesting to read and will be interesting. :D |
Yulan the Exhausted 2008-05-14 . chapter 5Ahh goodness, what an idea! I got stunned by the interviews, seriously. ^^ instant fav. |
Kinoshita Kristanite 2008-05-13 . chapter 5Mwa ha ha This is FUN! |
 MeEksiNs 2008-05-13 . chapter 5it goes without sating that it's good. |
Nardaviel 2008-05-12 . chapter 5Once I realized exactly what this fic was, I honestly had second thoughts about continuing to read it, because I knew it would hurt like hell right now. Obviously I read it anyway, and I was right, so I'm sorry if I don't really say anything of substance.
One of the many things I admire about your writing is your ability to handle emotion. You portray it beautifully, and you evoke it in your readers equally so. Someone without that talent couldn't successfully write a fic like this: one with minimal plot (at least so far), where the -point- of the fic is the emotional intensity. You, on the other hand... can definitely pull it off.
Basically what I'm trying to say is amazing fic, as usual. The chapters are short, but they hit hard. I'm a bit scared of the next ones. I'm looking forward to them anyway, though. It was exciting to see an update from you in my inbox. =D And then there were four more updates, and that was just unspeakably awesome. |
zutaralover624 2008-05-12 . chapter 5 i really like this story it is really an interesting perspective on Lawliet's death i am looking forward to the next chapter please keep up the good work. |
Brain Eater Jr. 2008-05-12 . chapter 5... well, I don't want a repeat of my other Mello review, so let me just say that this really tugged at my Mello-affected heartstrings. He was pretty insane in the anime and manga, and yet we were shown that he had the most human parts of him tucked in a neat drawer, reserved only for the people he cared about the most (like Matt and L).
And this part is a great unraveling of that human part of him, out of that drawer for at least one other human to see. Man. |
Brain Eater Jr. 2008-05-12 . chapter 4Hmm... so even though he's third in line, Matt's really the one taking care of the other two. In a sense.
I rather like this idea.
It's really painful, what he said about how the title was truly inherited. Haay. Really painful. That's all I can say, really. |
Brain Eater Jr. 2008-05-12 . chapter 3Ah, poor Mello. He really cared about L, didn't he? |
Brain Eater Jr. 2008-05-12 . chapter 1Ah! It's Wedy! I love that woman! *weeps*
I'm sorry. Haha. Well, it's obvious that I enjoyed this part because of her. Great characterization, and I was really amused by her speech pattern, hehe. Besides that, this is a really interesting concept. Rather sad that it's about L and "that" November day, but that's an inevitable something that even the author himself/herself cannot escape... |
